Ultimate_Game Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 1. Tendulkar's 100 off 140 balls. Seriously, on a patta scoring 100 off 140? Is a 100 more important than the team? 2. India's pss poor bowling where not even a single bowler would make it into any other test nation. Hell, even Ireland has a better bowling lineup :omg: 3. Dinda - The supposedly "phaast" and tailunted bowler whose jump is faster than his delivery, and who single-handedly changed the match by conceding 18 off one over. Seriously, this is beyond embarrassing now and we are fast becoming laughing stock of world cricket, if we are not one already.
zen Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 It has to be the 100. If your most experienced batsman plays like that there is no point in blaming the relatively inexperienced ones Sad to see Ind become a nation of worshippers of meaningless record. Kapil's quest for that 434 was not enough and now we have this 100th 100, which is even more meaningless :((
vvvslaxman Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 It gotta be playing out maiden over with 9 wickets in hand against a trundler bowling at 120k

And it is not exactly Tendulkar fault, as after all it was only the media who made the 100th hundred rather than just another hundred. Pathetic excuse and really sad to see India who fail to realize their glory persons.
CG Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 When you have captain backing guys like P.k,Jadeja who have floped for ages ,we are playing with 9 men .

Pagalpanti Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Tendulkar's innings coming to haunt us + pathetic bowling. We should've defended even 260 against this side but our bowlers r so bad even 290 fell short.
Number Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 And what's the point of playing Jadeja when he bowls 4-5 overs. Does nothing with the bat.

Yes bowling has to take the blame but surely SRT's innings was the reason we didn't put up a bigger total.
21cent Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 HAHA. losing against minnows, time to choker ball eater to reitre
someone Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I think this is what we are good at - glorifying people and celebrating meaningless stats. But its not the players fault. Blame it on the media and ourselves for starting this. Sachin had to play with that extra pressure and logically that happens
vvvslaxman Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Yes bowling has to take the blame but surely SRT's innings was the reason we didn't put up a bigger total. that is the biggest reason. our bowling is inferior .Possibly the worst in the tournament. Also under lights chasing 280 odd is very easy. Very difficult to grip the ball. It was subpart total from the get go. He was playing singles and dot balls.. once he got his 100.. suddenly 2 fours.. it was freaking obvious
CG Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Yes bowling has to take the blame but surely SRT's innings was the reason we didn't put up a bigger total. That is very sad excuse,The problem is not one match, its policy which the team has been following ,when your captain goes on playing same guys who do not perform for a year ,someday it is going to give.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 But its not the players fault. Blame it on the media and ourselves for starting this. Sachin had to play with that extra pressure and logically that happens Bud did you even watch the game? We had 9 wkts in hand and knowing fully well we have a weak bowling lineup and big hitters in the pavilion. He still kept on crawling just to get to his 100.
Raghav_12 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Against Bangladesh if we can not defend 290, there is no point in blaming batsman for that. As per matches of tournament 290 was well above par score. You can't do much when your bowlers concede three sixes and a four within span of 5-6 balls.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 That is very sad excuse' date='The problem is not one match, its policy which the team has been following ,when your captain goes on playing same guys who do not perform for a year ,someday it is going to give.[/quote'] Yes it is but I have never seen a more selfish innings since the Mongia-Prabhakar crawl against WI after which they were dropped.
Laaloo Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 SRTs inning was similiar to that Warners 100 in which he batted a little slow and the total wasnt enough
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Tendulkar anchored the innings, why not blame Kohli, Rohit, MSD for not scoring enough?! Like the last match against SL we didnt score enough, even in that both Gambhir + Kohli played for their 100, luckily SL collapsed so it wasnt noticed. Blame has to be with the batsman, Dhoni picking Jadega who adds NOTHING, and Dinda didnt have the best debut.
CG Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Bud did you even watch the game? We had 9 wkts in hand and knowing fully well we have a weak bowling lineup and big hitters in the pavilion. He still kept on crawling just to get to his 100. we scored less against lanka and the pitch was supposed to be slower,If you cannot defend 290 against bangladesh then we should be ashamed.
