the_indian_fan Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 yes. cook will break tendulkars records in tests. and kohli will do the same in odis a selfish player like sachin who wasted 40 balls in the end overs of an odi to move from 80-100 in the asia cup match against bangladesh does not deserve to keep any records
MCcricket Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Very soon POMS will talking about him being better the Don and Dondulkar lol:haha:
SLICKR392 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 No he won't. He hasn't come out of the closet yet. Once he does' date=' he will stop scoring. I still think he has a "thing" for barbie and anderson[/quote'] +1 If you look at the tons and runs there are lot of Batsmen who can surpass Dravid's and Tendu's record. But they fail in between.

velu Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Please don't start over again  If you can't defend 290 against Bang, then better lose the game than win it. if you cant score run a ball after facing 150 balls vs bagla , then we better lose the game :((

MechEng Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 if you cant score run a ball after facing 150 balls vs bagla ' date=' then we better lose the game :(([/quote'] Bangla pitches are very slow and scoring run a ball tons is not easy at all on slow pitches. And it hardly bothers us, we've won so many Asia Cups so losing this one ain't a big deal. And the next World Cup is in Australia, so nobody gives a damn whether you're Asian champs or not. PLus it was good to see Bangla in finals for a change as they have been literally losing everything ever since they got international status in 1999.

Chandan Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Second youngest cricketer to score 20 centuries in test cricket. Actually only cricketer after Sachin to get to have 20 tons at this age. Max age 27 No code has to be inserted here. He is best FTB England has produced in last 15 years or so. Since almost all countries have flat tracks so he will continue to score. This was Sachin's stats at Cook's age: LINK 1989-2012 188 15470 248* 55.44 51 1989-2002 93 7869 217 58.72 29
Crookbond Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Error on that link for me. Page Not Found The page you requested was not found /ci/engine/player/35320.html?agemax1=28;ageval1=age;class=1;filter=advanced;orderby=default

Trichromatic Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 This was Sachin's stats at Cook's age: LINK 1989-2012 188 15470 248* 55.44 51 1989-2002 93 7869 217 58.72 29 Cook's age 27 and not 28. When you enter 28 in cricinfo it gives to data upto just before age of 29. At the age of 27 years and 207 days Sachin No code has to be inserted here.
Trichromatic Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 What was Tendulkar's record at 80 Test matches ? No code has to be inserted here.
Crookbond Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 No code has to be inserted here. The average doesn't match but the runs are quite similar. Also, I guess India would play relatively fewer Test matches than England.
Trichromatic Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 The average doesn't match but the runs are quite similar. Also' date=' I guess India would play relatively fewer Test matches than England.[/quote'] That's because Cook has played 140 innings in 80 matches. Tendulkar had 7200 runs in 140 innings. England play lot of test matches. It takes other players 8-10 years to play 80 matches while Cook has completed those many matches in just 6 years. Average number of test matches will continue to remain high for England till 2020 (if we go by ftp). He can easily play 150 test matches which has been very difficult for other players in past. So even if Cook doesn't average very high and maintain it around 45-49 he can come close to run tally of Poting, Dravid etc.
Chandan Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Cook's age 27 and not 28. When you enter 28 in cricinfo it gives to data upto just before age of 29. At the age of 27 years and 207 days Sachin No code has to be inserted here. So at the age of 27 yrs and 207 days Sachin played 78 days tests and at 28 years he played 93 tests? Thats is in 27 years and 7 months it was 78 tests and in next 5 months he played 15 tests to having reached 93 tests in 28 years? Please check your stats because Mohan statsman can't be wrong and the above stats was given by him! Also I don't think he played 15 tests in 2001-2002 till april 24!
