Sachin was reported to have gone to London for surgery on his injured toe. However, the Mumbai franchise have said that Sachin has gone to London for just a routine check-up of an old toe injury. He will participate in the training camp beginning two days later. http://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/50519/mi-refutes-sachin-injury,-will-play-ipl
dibyabttb Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 As I heard someone say' date=' its a good thing he wasn't there, the media would've turned it into a Sachin event[/quote'] :haha: +1
velu Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 man this place is a trollfest..am I the only one saddened with what's happening to once the finest ICF forum? :((
adi B Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Glad if he does that. But' date=' he would be seen sitting in the dugouts egging his team on.[/quote'] agree.. + it would be good for mi fans that bhajji would be the captain, thr midget cant win trophies as a captain, he will choke again if he captains :hehe:
pensionplan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Why did dravid not took Sachin's name even once when he thanked his other colleagues like Anil. saurav and Mahi? Why did Midget ran away to England for a toe injury just on the same day of felicitation , when he attended a party hosted by Ambanis previous night? Mind you he did not even have time to get a recorded message across, as Srinivasan did. And Dravid did thank the other four because they spoke about Dravid in the function. Plus Dravid did mention and thanked all greats of Indian cricket for making his career(because there are too many to name individuallly and I am sure SMG, Kapil, SRT implied in that mention)
pensionplan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Bloody hell the mob are relentlessYou are the worst. Go get a mirror. Blind hero worship at its best.
yoda Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Does sound fishy if he was there prev night for the bolly event and gave a miss to this BCCI event.
Lurker Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Sachin didnt show up due to prior commitments, thats perfectly fine. Not sure why thats even a question. The question should be why did stalwarts like Dravid, Gavaskar, Kumble had to sit and listen to the recorded message of Srinivasan??? WTF! Can you imagine these greats sitting and listening to these chewtiya on a speaker phone???
CSK Fan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Does sound fishy if he was there prev night for the bolly event and gave a miss to this BCCI event. Tickets and doctors appointment were prebooked?
pensionplan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 The question should be why did stalwarts like Dravid' date=' Gavaskar, Kumble had to sit and listen to the recorded message of Srinivasan??? WTF! Can you imagine these greats sitting and listening to these chewtiya on a speaker phone???[/quote']Actually Srinivasan did one better. He did send in an recorded video. :-)
yoda Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Tickets and doctors appointment were prebooked? Too much of a coincidence. If it was prebooked, didn't the BCCI know that? Why did they pick a date when he was not available? May be it was a haphazardly arranged event. In any case, it sounds fishy to me. Seems like Sachin purposely avoided the function for whatever reason. May be he is pissed at the BCCI for something. Can't imagine anything being between him and RD though.
Lurker Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Actually Srinivasan did one better. He did send in an recorded video. :-) MC
pensionplan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Why Sachin didn't come to Dravid's felicitation? SRT's payback to 194* declaration. How dare RD puts team goals ahead of SRT's double ton. :-)
pensionplan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Seems like Sachin purposely avoided the function for whatever reason.Read above for a reasonable reason. :-)
SachDan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Too much of a coincidence. If it was prebooked' date=' didn't the BCCI know that? Why did they pick a date when he was not available?[/quote'] :hysterical: :hysterical: BCCI organized the event to felicitate Dravid, not Sachin. Him or any other player for that matter not being there should not be much of a concern.
yoda Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Read above for a reasonable reason. :-) Well it's possible. People do hold grudges although I would like to think this is something other than any kind of a SRT vs RD issue.
vvvslaxman Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Come on.. guys.. even i missed that. Don't make an issue of it.
