Munaf Patel-Was injured time to bring him back Yuvi-Get well soon champ:pray: And for god's sake atleast get a coach who can get off his couch!
Pagalpanti Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Out of those list only 2 players should get back. Munaf and Yuvi . Harbhajan needs to prove himself in domestic, he was average in the games he played and missed the rest of the season with injury.
GautiMaan Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 Nope he did okay in the one day competions(VH trophy and the domestic t20).And you know he gives his best unlike sambar sadam.
vvvslaxman Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Nope he did okay in the one day competions(VH trophy and the domestic t20).And you know he gives his best unlike sambar sadam. Rahul sharma outperformed Bhajji in the matches played together.
rkt.india Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Rahul sharma outperformed Bhajji in the matches played together. An accurate leg spinner is always great asset to have in ODIs, Rahul is like 6' 5" and can turn the ball as well on conducive surface, but his biggest strength till now has been his accuracy and bounce from a length. Still it is early days for him, Ashwin too started so well, but now is going down, looking ugly while bowling and trying to do many things.

Prakat Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Bhajji needs to stay the fark out. He was a massive liability in the WC. We all remember his darts throughout the tournament, no need to relive that nightmare. He is welcome to continue infesting the domestic circuit though.

Tiger80 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Rahul sharma outperformed Bhajji in the matches played together. Rahul Sharma is inexperianced, harbhajan should be back in ODI team along with Rahul/any other new spinner in subcontinent.
GautiMaan Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Ashwin might have done better than our other bowlers, but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired.I will never forget his moronic running against WI in the last test.

These errors happen. People so easily forgot that inning where all our maharathies were struggling to put the ball away from 30 yard circle.

I was not talking about his skill, the guy just seems to freeze under pressure as you can see from his fielding.
rkt.india Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I remeber his inning well enough. I was not talking about his skill, the guy just seems to freeze under pressure as you can see from his fielding. He scored 100 under pressure but he did not freeze then. It was not freeze for him. He has limitations as he is not a good athlete and is a slow runner. It was not because of pressure. He is the one guy who bowls and bats mostly under pressure in PPs and death overs. Remember the match against SL in CB series in which he and Jadeja did a partnership to win us the match. His run out is nothing to do with pressure. It is his inability to run fast.

His athleticism is turning out to be his bigger enemy. I wouldn't totally neglect him. He seems to be a sharp guy. Yes he is not afraid of pressure. He is a preferred bowler inside powerplays. if he is going to lose his spot to someone else it will be purely because of fielding.
Sid Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 If anything Harbhajan can play the role which is expected out of Jaddu ,he is a much better bowler and a batsman (at no.7 ) than Jadeja.

Jaddu should not be playing at all. If Bhajji walks in he gotta be at no.8.

Crookbond Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 :agree: No.7 should be irfan or yusuf Test matches? NO. ODI's Irfan Pathan - 1 down bowler, mind you.
GautiMaan Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Test matches? NO. ODI's Irfan Pathan - 1 down bowler' date=' mind you.[/quote'] Not talking abt tests of course.ODI's why not?play 2 spinners and push him up the order, our batting is strong enough.
Raghav_12 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Bhajji had major problem in test matches where he had started looking completely un-threatening. In ODI's he wasn't that bad as his darts are relatively difficult to be taken to cleaners. He can be considered for ODI's but should not be allowed anywhere near Test team, as of now.
