I played school cricket till the district level, in India. Then played lots of club cricket... After relocating to England, I played bit of club cricket and then completely stopped playing due to various factors... I've now got a group of enthusiatinc middle aged people and have started practicing indoors. Our first match coming up against a London based association team.. Have also met with a local CC which plays division 2 and 5 (they've different teams). Can't get in their team as the guys are much younger and fit. But will be supporting them in whichever way possible... I'm an Off spinner and a middle order bat.

I played for my district at state level when I was 14 years old for UP I guess its name was Vinu Mankad Trophy not sure its now 20 years gorn. The best part was I got selected for batting got chance in one match and was bowled for zero and was then never picked up again. Then I relaized I should try my hand in Bowling and was always the opening bowler for my school and college team. Never got chance to play state level again but have practised with quite a big names: Hit two fours on the bowling of Narendra Hirwani who had come to our camp as a guest and it was in the same year when he took 16 wickets against WI including Viv Richards :haha:. Have played with Ashish vinston Zaidi, and I can bet Shoaib Akthar couldn't be faster than him. He was known as aandhi at that time. Haven't played Cricket from last 5 years :(( at even gali mohalla or lawn level.

You don't have to look at facts and figure. If you watch him bowling' date=' it makes, even amature, district level off-spinners like me cringe..Whtateve might've been the compulsions, I'll never bowl the way he bowls..Legside darts and bowling legside 5 wides on a regular basis..[/quote']
