Seriously speaking, I am against technology overload..Theres only so much comfort that a man should live in....as it is nowadays theres too much networking going on and too much time lost in pursuits of technology

v1uyQZNg2vE It will be a great product but I don't think an average consumer can handle it. Information overload will be the least of the their problems. (Psychologists will get plenty of ways to justify the existence of their pointless profession) First Responders, Armed forces etc I can understand. Has there been any research into the effects of virtual images (on the brain and eyes) for long duration? Frankly, a souped up smartphone is sufficient. Too much technology gives me the jitters (Matrix anyone?!).

That's a bloody good research question.

I don't see it being much of a problem. Especially as the virtual reality gets closer to reality, brain will adjust to learn from new visual input. People have done experiments, where brain has been rewired to make it 'seeing' with tongue and more such crazy stuff.

This product, if successful, will create zombies. We will see people walk slow in baby steps mutterings stuff to their glasses, randomly giggling, sobbing, walking into roads by mistake and get run over by a cars.

It doesn't make it any less a good research question per se.
