Because the pitch looked dry in the previous game and it was tougher to get the ball away and also when India batted because all teams struggled to reach 140. I'm not blaming the performance on rain because India bowled too many long hops but rain tends to make it difficult for bowlers to grip the ball and the ball also tends to come on to the bat nicely.
