Dhoni_fan
as good a batter as he is' date=' [b']KP dont give a shite about anyone except himself. coaching would be the worst ever profession he could get into. This ruthless mentality that you refr to is what will make him a fantastic coach he will be so fired up in etting glory yes he will take some credit for it, but he is a guy who thrives on lime light an success is what gives you lime light and fame he will love nothing more than brining a team to number 1 and to do to do it a as coach will only add to his legacy while helping us a the same time! Dhoni_fan
You need to get off the pills mate. Why would I need pills for making an informed and objective observation about an individual that could make the world of diference to our team and have the last laugh against England too both for us and him!! Just look at Chapell. Likes of Wright and Kirsten who work in the background are the ones who make a difference. What exactly do you expect KP to do as the batting coach anyway? Teach Sehwag how to move his feet? Or maybe teach Gambhir not to poke outside off? Or tell Tendulkar not to lose concentration and play big knocks? Truth is at intl level you don't teach skills or can't have brash personalities who are more concerned about hogging limelight than anything else. Link to comment

Vilander
It is sad that a lot of you are being so short sighted as to over look what an opportunity this could be a man with such a competetive drive could be huge for Indian Cricket Kirsten took that competetive spirit and had a great coaching record with us while not realling having proven himself beforehand, P's bating expertise plus ability o play all forms of the game an in different situations alone make him the ideal man to be our next coach. Also it wil make the ECB even more upset than they currently are, that is not the objective of this investment but it is a nice bonus! man you are a mountain troll :haha: Link to comment

The guy is an absolute genius with the bat no oubt about that amazing talent, with the recent events I think we should be lookin to get him over as one of our batting coaches, I am confident we can outbid whatever the terms are of his NZCB plaing contract and he seems the kind of guy that woul relish the chance to take a new team to the top of the game! In normal circumstances I would agree taking the limelight can be a negative but in this instance KP does not just want the limelight he wants to be the best but with cricket being a team game his brilliance helps the team, look at the last test but for him England would be 2-0 down! Agree our batters do not need to learn how to bat and will not learn basics from KP but he can help massively with our approach to the game, mental tougness and playing well abroad in conditions like England and Australia and of course SA he is just what Indian cricket needs, out of the box yes but would be amazing for us if this happens Link to comment
