CSK without Dhoni is not better than DC or PWXI .Their southie Bradmans M Vijay, Ashwin are not better than Dhawan, Mishra.ANd less said about modern day "Viv Richards" S Badrinath the better.

Morkel won us some games, Dhoni won us some games. Even for yday's game, Dhoni credited Badri's knock for laying the platform. If you think Ashwin has been useless, you need a new brain. The reason CSK has done well is because they have a good TEAM. Also, it helps that the core players (which includes guys like Badri, Ashwin, Vijay, Morkel, Dhoni, Raina) have pretty much played all 5 IPLs. Vijay was in phenomenal form in 2010. He has been very odrinary last 2 seasons. Ashwin has lowest RPO over the last 5 seasons. If there is any team which has some consistent local players in the XI, it is CSK. Any team would love to have a Dhoni, especially the one who batted like he did in the last game. It means you get a captain with experience and who is performing and you get a keeper who is not a passenger. It is when Dhoni goes into a tuk-tuk mode does he start hurting the team more than he helps. Also, he used to make some questionable moves the 1st 2 seasons in terms of batting order, etc. Last 3 seasons we have done less experimenting and sticking to more of what works.

MSD doesnt deserve fickle CSK fans..The only thing that made them win 2 IPLs is MSD
:nono: The only reason we won 2 IPLs was because the team management picked the right people and assembled the best team. We have had significant contributions from the following players (other than ofc MSD) during the past 3 years: Raina, Hussey, Vijay, Badri, Ashwin, Morkel, Bravo, Murali, Balaji, Bollinger, Faf, Hilf. To say it is all MSD makes no sense. This team could have won with a different captain, just not a bone headed one.

Gujratis, punjabis, southies, bengalis and everyone else. Don't think it's something unique to tamils.
