vvvslaxman Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 Not just the stat. Overall bowling looks promising for Piyush. But his leg spinners are still innocuous compared to his wrong uns.
Executioner Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 very ordinary performance from spinners, the only one to perform is chawla otherwise ordinary performance.
zaqw222222 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Apanna with 4 wickets tonight. Had a good domestic season also
vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Apanna with 4 wickets tonight. Had a good domestic season also Yes. He had a good season. Surprised he was left out for few matches.
bulbul Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Yes. He had a good season. Surprised he was left out for few matches. Went for 20 runs last match in 2 overs.. Any way deserve few matches when people like Tiwary, Pujara got free rides..only problem is bowlers failure highlighted more during loss than batsmen.. Also better to ask Kohli take rest for couple of matches...looks like short in kanfidence
daryl1985 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 If Chawla is the best performing spinner, god help us. I still think Ojha is our best spinner. Rahul Sharma is struggling a bit more in his 2nd season. I hope he can get back to form because he looks a decent prospect.
Prudent Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Nadeem bowled exceptionally well in most of the matches.
BeautifulGame Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Ashwin Econ. rate is exceptional considering he bowls mostly in either Powerplay overs or in the death.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 What a sorry state of affairs that we don't even have a single standout, or even decent, spin option at the moment. And the really sad part is that a WI spinner is better than the Indian ones and at the moment WI spin attack consisting of Naraine & Bishoo will be better than what we can muster
gaurav92 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Bhajji's got the highest average even after playing all 14 games
vvvslaxman Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 Bhajji's got the highest average even after playing all 14 games Honor goes to second best spinner in India. Murali Kartik :cantstop:
J P K Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 chaiwala jaddu ojha looks more like dhoni` boy friend list
rkt.india Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 What a sorry state of affairs that we don't even have a single standout' date=' or even decent, spin option at the moment. And the really sad part is that a WI spinner is better than the Indian ones and at the moment WI spin attack consisting of Naraine & Bishoo will be better than what we can muster [/quote'] No spinner has stood out this time apart from Narine due his mystery and he has bowled mostly at Eden is still unknown and the reason is the pitches this time around has been flatter than past editions apart from Eden. Even Chennai pitch has not helped spinners. Spinners are not getting the purchase from the pitches they used to get. This time we have seen so many pitches with grass covering on them. Delhi, Mumbai, Mohali, Hyderabad, Bengalore even Pune and Jaipur...all had grass on them...Even Chennai had grass covering on most of the tracks.
gaurav92 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Ashwin's SR :hatsoff: Even Jaddu's got better SR than him :hysterical:
gaurav92 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Honor goes to second best spinner in India. Murali Kartik :cantstop: Oh yeah just saw that. But Bhajji too has been fairly consistent in not picking wickets :hatsoff:
vvvslaxman Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 Oh yeah just saw that. But Bhajji too has been fairly consistent in not picking wickets :hatsoff: Murali karthik said he is the 2nd best spinner after Bhajji Looking at the stats Worst average and strike rate Murali kartik Second worst average and strike rate harbhajan they have just swapped their positions :cantstop: Harbhajan's case is even more comical how he saved himself in the middle overs and how he protected himself from viru's onslaught ..to preseve his ER.

LOL :cantstop: Harby has been the worst spinner simply because, his stats looks alright as he was the captain, he didn't bowl himself when the opposition went berserk. He has been way too defensive with his line and length. What is even more devastating is that even after taking such a leeway, he is still not amongst the top 5 wicket takers for MI
