Lovely pictures, Stuge. BTW, for those in the US interested in viewing events like these in the future, most universities have a public night. Just check the Physics/Astronomy department's website of a university near you and they would have the schedule. In addition, they also have regularly running public nights usually around once or twice a month.

Never understood what the big deal is with the eclipse thing? I had just returned to India the previous night and got home quite home. My father kept continuously calling me on my cell asking me to see this 'spectacle'. And it was around 6:30am. Totally trolled me. Turned out to be some stupid pimple on the face of the sun. Utter rubbish!! And because I woke my husband up to watch this 'spectacle', I became the butt of all sarcastic "astronomer jokes" for the rest of the day week. For the life of me, can't see what the fuss is all about.

What the fuss is all about? You don't get to see pimple on the face of the sun, every other day. Now, you will never see it again. Its a friggin planet eclipsing our sun. Its beautiful. I love my universe. :sniffle:
