Its not bullying, its a simple case of BJP needing something and having to pay the price for it. The only way to attract post poll allies is to at least get enough seats so as to be in contention to form the Govt - now BJP, which is not present/extremely weak in many states, cannot get the numbers necessary to attract post poll allies on its own. In fact in 1999 at its highest point BJP went into the elections with just 339 candidates and gave the remaining 204 seats to allies - only then did it manage to win 182 seats and was in a position to attract more allies. Now its not the allies fault that Modi has made such an image for himself where getting into a coalition with him will mean losses for the allies. BJP will have to understand that they need allies otherwise they cannot for the Govt - the sooner they understand this, the better their chances will be. But as of now I don't see any chances of this happening. :hmmmm2: it was a comment by Anna Hazare saying that Modi and Rahul are not fit to be the PM - Adteriz said that who is the alternative so I named a few leaders who could be alternatives. In case of Cong, Rahul will most probably not accept the post so they will have to go with someone else while in BJP, Modi will, in all probability, not get the numbers necessary to be in a position to dictate terms.
You need 3 things as a opponents to win. 1) Anti incumbency 2) PM candidate 3) Allies . And it goes in that order, where this time BJP, also has a solid PM candidate. Allies also in case for Congress will be post-polls as in this Indian politics, the first thing is about being opportunist. Both Congress and BJP needs allies so let's not make it exclusive. There is nothing consistent in Indian politics, and even Congress knows that well enough about pre-elections assumptions being wrong. Every person has an idea of who they want to as PM. But no party can listen to each individual. And unlike other parties, BJP made their decision based on popularity and consensus not family name. You should be happy about this as at least there is one party which has some internal democracy.

How dense and low can supporters can get! The picture is not even of Nandana Sen. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=405503262887433&set=a.401235083314251.1073741828.399330260171400&type=1&relevant_count=1
There will always be extreme fans for all sides, they don't deserve our attention and not be taken seriously. However, what needs to be taken seriously and you yourself need to give attention and ask back is how some politicians make totally abusive comments about one elected politician. Where does the decency and ethics go? Why don't you or news channels debate about those poor languages. Congress-Media Complex suffers Modi Schizophrenia ? http://blog.offstumped.in/2013/06/26/congress-media-complex-suffers-modi-schizophrenia/

I can not answer for the news channels but what do you expect ME to do on ICF, apart from condemning it? I would also like to know what do YOU do about it as well. Also, does this abuse work only for "one elected politician" or does not that "elected politician" indulge in so called "abuse" as well.

HILLARY: Sir 65 MP’s have written to you to maintain the current position of NO VISA to Modi. OBAMA: Why was he denied VISA earlier? HILLARY: For not being able to stop communal riots that led to the death of thousands of Muslims in 2002. OBAMA: and who denied him VISA? HILLARY: The gentleman who killed lakhs of Muslims in Iraq to find hypothetical weapons of mass destruction. OBAMA: I hope the Secular Indians are aware of this irony Hillary. HILLARY: What can I say Sir, in India Secularism lies in the eyes of the beholder!
I know this is a post in a lighter vein, but India, though in name secular, is more of a pluralistic idea of governance.

thats fine but it doesn't apply to the BJP because in many big states with large number of Lok Sabha seats its either non existent or extremely weak (and in many of these states Cong is in a position, even now, to win far more than BJP.) Again and again i give the example of the 1999 elections where BJP, despite being at its highest point and despite having AtalJi as its leader, still had to go for so many pre poll alliances that it ended up contesting only 339 ot of 543 seats - and that was the reason it won substantial number of seats in states where it was weak (and is now once again weak - like in Orissan, Andhra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal etc). The reason BJP did this was simply because it needed pre poll allies far more than Cong. Of course both need pre poll allies but still BJP needs them more than Cong but they are not making any efforts to get any allies. IMO this will hurt the BJP badly.

Introducing the Smart Namo, the Modi Phone

Add phones to a growing list of Modi memorabilia for sale. A group of businessmen from Gujarat plan to launch a smartphone, called the “Smart Namo,†a play on the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s nickname among his youthful supporters. “Namo stands for Narendra Modi and Next Generation Android Mobile Odyssey,†according to the website devoted to the product. They may be onto something. Fans of Mr. Modi have shown a penchant for Modi merchandise. The Akruti Art Gallery in Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat, holds an annual auction of Modi memorabilia. The items are donated by Mr. Modi and the proceeds go to charity. This year it reportedly had over 1,000 items worn by Mr. Modi or given to him as gifts at public functions. Since 2001, the auctions have raised 1 billion rupees ($16.9 million), according to a story in the Indian Express. The idea for the phone came from China, where the minds behind the project have a phone business. “There are a lot of products, including MP3 music players and smartphones, named after Chinese leaders, and we wanted to bring this concept to the Indian market,†said Ammeet Desai, a spokesman for the Smart Namo project. Four versions of the smartphone are planned, all using Google Inc.’s Android operating system. The phones will have a 5 inch screen, a 13 megapixel camera and either 16 or 32 gigabytes of memory. The phone will also be available in the “Shri Narendra Modi Signature Edition.†The first version of the smartphone will cost less than 16,000 rupees ($271), said Mr. Desai. That’s a good deal, based on the limited information available on the phone’s website. The similarly priced Samsung Galaxy Core has a 4 inch screen, 5 megapixel camera and 8 gigabytes of internal memory. Mr. Desai said the phone will also have videos and software applications related to Mr. Modi. The company is keeping prices down by selling the phones at cost. Cheaper versions also are planned, including a basic phone that will cost 1000 rupees. Over the next month, the founders behind the Smart Namo will design the phone and approach Mr. Modi for his approval. The company also plans to set up a manufacturing unit in Gujarat state, Mr. Desai said.

NaMo has good facial features and nice Mediterranean fair skin tone, he should change his hairstyle and clothing to western, he will look sharp and handsome. He has good build too. I want India's next PM to be neat, trim, well groomed and tidy.

Saw a very interesting interview Arvind Panagaria. He talks sense, but I am glad him and Bhagvati challenged Amartya Sen. I think it has provoked him into making statements that he normally wouldn't. Traditionally, we have been center left country with leftist economist and Sen sir would fit right in and lead the pack and pronounce the judgement. Times are changing. This kind of intellectual and academic debate which Sen refuses to get into is necessary for future of India. I could do with without secular v/s communal drama which has absolutely no bearing on the India of today. Part of it :- cXayBmfMBIY

MPs' letters to Obama 'original and authentic'

The controversy over Indian MPs' letters to US President Barack Obama for denying visa to Narendra Modi has taken a new turn, with a California-based Forensic Document Examiner certifying that the signatures of the lawmakers are "original and authentic" and not a cut and paste job as claimed. "Using accepted principles and methods of forensic examination, it is my opinion that the Q1-Q3 (three pages of Rajya Sabha MPs' letter) document was created in a single event, and that the signatures found upon it are original/authentic wet ink signatures," said the report after a forensic examination of the letter. A similar finding was made in respect of the letter by Lok Sabha members. The forensic examination of the handwritings on the two letters to Obama by members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha on November 26 and December 5 last year respectively, which were re-faxed to the White House on July 21, was done by Nanette M Barto, approved Forensic Document Examiner, in California. The examination was prepared at the request of Coalition Against Genocide (CAG) campaigning against Modi after some parliamentarians, notably CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, MP Achutan (CPI) and KP Ramalingam (DMK) denied having signed the letter to Obama. CAG, a broad alliance of about 40 Indian-American organisations, has been campaigning against the US visa for Modi. When contacted for reaction to the forensic examination report, Achutan maintained that he did not remember to have appended his signature to a memorandum like this. All that he remembered was that he had signed a representation expressing anguish at the detention of Muslim youths in different parts of India, especially in northern states, by branding them as terrorists on flimsy grounds, he said. Ramalingam said this was a privilege matter which has to be given to chairman Hamid Ansari. "I have already said I have not signed the letter," he said. Yechury, who had earlier said that he had not signed the letter and his purported signature on the document, was a "cut and paste job" is away in Pyongyang on a visit as part of a parliamentary delegation to North Korea. He could not be reached for his comments.

Modi bhakt I have been reading some of the responses online to media news by modi supporters. I have a genuine concern that the kind of language these idiots use online to respond to people, what kind of animal are these? I tell you what. I might have been RSS guy, a strong BJP supporter but I have never imagined that I will be on the side of those who use such a filthy language to express their views. I want MODI to address this in his next speech to these low life animals.

  • Extremely bad name calling
  • Filthy langugage used
  • These idiots call themselves, Hindus or Raam bhakt or shiv bhakt
  • Extremely dirty language used for Prof. Mohemmad and Lord Jesus

Do you support these people? Are you one of them?
