why shikhar dhawan is in INDIA A team?

He was the most exceptional batter for Indian U19 team when he played in the final a few years back. Unfortunately for him, his teammates like Robin Uthappa, RP & PK got the call ahead of him, when he was maybe in the form of his life. He is one of the most destructive openers I have seen. The way he batted in the U19 trophy and particularly the final was sensational. Since then, he's been a bit down. But he's gonna be back with a bang :two_thumbs_up:

I.e what tourno He should play in the Ltd overs team, in the longer formats I agree, not sure about his place and maybe Bist could play instead..that way Pujara can be tried at no 3.. Im not sure what the selctors have in mind for Ltd Overs matches- a few guys like Rohit Rahul and maybe Manoj need not play as they are India seniors now

Dhawan hit 2 100s in the Irani Trophy, those performances will obviously count more than failures in Ranji matches. The other contenders for the opening slot (based on domestic performances) are Dheeraj Jadhav who is 33 and Naman Ojha. As good as Ojha is, I don't see him playing as a test opener for India. Rest everyone including Uthappa did not do better than Dhawan. Rahane for some reason has stopped opening. Maybe the selectors need to ask him to open again, for Mumbai, WZ and for India A too. May help move Sehwag to the middle order once Sachin goes. Bist is a middle order batsman and should be batting there.

Has anyone seen Robin Bist bat , they will be disappointed, he is a stroke less wonder and his strike rate will make Dravid seem like Gayle, Dhawan can be an option, he deserves his spot, Saha is the unlucky one, this guy is a fighter, has class, any day better then Dhoni in test as a keeper and bat.
