flamy Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 In ODIs, there are only slots for all rounders and bowlers right now. As for emergency replacements, Dhawan is a good bat as is Pandey.
virufan Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 He was picked for Board President's XI against the Proteas and even scored an impressive 70. So he is in the scheme of things.
MCcricket Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 He is the among highest run getters in IPL, HAS PLAYED U 19, DOMESTIC AND DONE WELL FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS, seem to have the big shots, can play pace, is left handed, why isn't he in the picture, why are people like pappu in the team instead.
J P K Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 he tried to play according to situation people here did not like his technique :wall:
achilles Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 He was the most exceptional batter for Indian U19 team when he played in the final a few years back. Unfortunately for him, his teammates like Robin Uthappa, RP & PK got the call ahead of him, when he was maybe in the form of his life. He is one of the most destructive openers I have seen. The way he batted in the U19 trophy and particularly the final was sensational. Since then, he's been a bit down. But he's gonna be back with a bang :two_thumbs_up: Well predicted, Senor Andy :D
Sooda Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 He did not do so great in WI when he played for India, did not help his chances
skindia Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 why shikhar dhawan is in INDIA A team? why shikhar dhawan is in INDIA A team?his age is also not on his side..this shows influence of IPL over test matches selection..where is Robin bist ?? he was highest rungetter in ranji...even Robin uthappa performed better than shikhar dhawan in domestic matches.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 coz he LOOKS BADASS...skin head, tattoos, ear rings...holy ****, if u were in prison u wouldnt wanna drop the soap anywhere near this mother****er
Needforspeed Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Robin Bist is also in the A team. Maybe he will get a chance in the next match.
skindia Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 my question is even after 2 poor domestic seasons how can shikhar dhawan find place in india A team..and that too in playing11
skindia Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Robin bist should be in playing in all remaining 3 matches
saneindian Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Because of this Dhawan 8 matches, 704 runs@55 Uthappa 9 matches, 521 runs@37

I.e what tourno He should play in the Ltd overs team, in the longer formats I agree, not sure about his place and maybe Bist could play instead..that way Pujara can be tried at no 3.. Im not sure what the selctors have in mind for Ltd Overs matches- a few guys like Rohit Rahul and maybe Manoj need not play as they are India seniors now
Cricket Tragic Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Sources close to Cheeka say that he gives a good bj.

The other contenders for the opening slot (based on domestic performances) are Dheeraj Jadhav who is 33 and Naman Ojha. As good as Ojha is, I don't see him playing as a test opener for India. Rest everyone including Uthappa did not do better than Dhawan. Rahane for some reason has stopped opening. Maybe the selectors need to ask him to open again, for Mumbai, WZ and for India A too. May help move Sehwag to the middle order once Sachin goes. Bist is a middle order batsman and should be batting there.
MCcricket Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Has anyone seen Robin Bist bat , they will be disappointed, he is a stroke less wonder and his strike rate will make Dravid seem like Gayle, Dhawan can be an option, he deserves his spot, Saha is the unlucky one, this guy is a fighter, has class, any day better then Dhoni in test as a keeper and bat.
