Its no big deal for him, he could've had a cool job at the World Bank for decades or simply quit in his PM tenure (trust me, it won't be good times if he did that) and spent his time with his grandchildren. He instead chooses to fight in this gutter of politics and gets a raw deal from some of our countrymen.

He oversaw the largest scams our country had the good fortune of seing, numerous high profile terror attacks, and the collapse of the economy. Did not get any major reform passed, saw little improvement in our international relations, is trying to get religion based reservations and the communal bill (or whatever **** its called) passed, and has his own allies making a joke out of him on every possible oppurtunity. Besides of course being a **** public speaker. Seems to feel completely at home in the gutter pf politics.

Except the fact that he is the one person who gets the most credit for our consistent 8% + growth in a country of 1.2 billion over the past few years. Lets just forget the great individuals we elected to serve alongside him with Soniaji in charge. We're just a dysfunctional multi-party democracy, it should be so easy to push every reform through. Then there's the option of quitting & i really wonder how well the other clowns could have managed the top job. You're talking of allies while the second largest party cant seem to get consensus within themselves. They have opposed multiple initiatives like FDI in retail and the nuclear deal just because it was initiated by the UPA. For once, imagine stepping into the great man's shoes and consider what its like running a country like India with the parliament & political leadership we have.

It is amazing a bumbling 4 eyes that can't put together a proper sentence in any bloody language gets so much credit while a master politician like Rao (who did the legwork for the liberalization) is kicked to the curb. Congressis should be ashamed of themselves.
