i can think of Praveen kumar ,vinay kumar,jadega but dinesh mongia takes the cake .he has great support.once i heard ravi shastri say there is no young talent in india and when interviewer asked whom he would pick he said dinesh mongia.

It's true man. OP said the player has been in the right place at the right time. Deffo not Sree. If he played for Aus, Pak or Eng he would be a leading spearhead in all formats of the game. Instead he is playing second fiddle to people like Dinda, VK, Ishant who are no where near as good as him. Only Yadav has shown promise but he is not in Sree's league.

He was handy with the ball and batted ok at no7. Jaddu and VK are crap. PK hasn't been utilised, he is more of a test bowler than ODI. But on flat pitches he may not cut it even in tests.

Apart from an ageing Zaheer, Sree remains our only attacking seamer who can take wickets in all formats of the game. Also cricinfo reported a while back that the BCCI had asked Sree if he was fit for world T20 to which he said no. Sree also ruled himself out for world T20.

Can we call Irfan Pathan a No option player? I think the guy is talented but his filling up of the allrounder spot despite average performances in recent times makes him one. Jaddu,Yusuf on the other hand are not No Option Players because he they are easily disposable but he seems to be the closest we have to a medium-pace bowler + Hard hitting allrounder since Kapil

Yes Dhoni was indifferent to him by criticising him in the open. Maybe Santh is special in a way that he can piss someone off like Dhoni, who is generally diplomatic, SO MUCH that MSD can resort to such things. Dravid used Santh as an attacking option. That actually helped. He could have cemented his place after the '07 england tour, but injuries and antics did not help.His acts during the T20 WC and the ODI series against OZ really started taking it's toll on Sreesanth the bowler. It seemed all made up. And when he could not tour Oz in 2007-08 test series, it really started to wander for him. Though he did make many comebacks, but that time was ripe for him to cement his place. He did well in WI and then England so a good test series in Oz would have helped. Instead unluckily for him it paved way for Ishant, who also is going through the same, to atleast stay in the team as a third seamer. And I am talking only of tests. I don't think he should play ODIS. He's a special bowler for tests but now his days seem numbered, unless he really does something magical(read: not ayurveda).

Bottom line is he got the message through! Anyway I was talking about in the test series, despite having crippling toe injury he bowled a spell to KP cranking it up to 88mph and with a lot of stares. The only bowler who was fighting. He started the series well, he would have continued had it not been for injuries.

How many times would you keep on using the same arguements. Who cares about looks and all ya.. For god's sake he's a fast bowler who is supposed to take wickets, which he has not for a very long time. Would have could have just does not matter dude. And do you really think that international cricketers are fools to be shaken with his antics every time?
