SLICKR392 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Gambhir Sehwag Pujara SRT VVS Kohli MSD Ashwin Zak Yadav Ojha It ain't no other option. No matter what...that is what MSD will pick!
jj_28 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Sehwag Gambhir Pujara Tendulkar Kohli Laxman Dhoni Ojha Ashwin Zaheer Yadav Raina, Rohit, Rahane, Ishant on standby for injuries Dont see NZ being much of a test, England will be the real test
1983-2011 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 what do people see in ishant sharma, i dont get it. in the past 18 months, beside the 3 tests in windies, he has done jack all. averaged 90 in aus, 58 in england and 67 in india
jj_28 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 what do people see in ishant sharma' date=' i dont get it. in the past 18 months, beside the 3 tests in windies, he has done jack all. averaged 90 in aus, 58 in england and 67 in india[/quote'] most people still see the potential that he showed and hope his recent record has a lot to do with his injury problems than him regressing Still even if Ishant doesn't get better we have Yadav, Aaron and Ahmed
Trichromatic Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 what do people see in ishant sharma' date= i dont get it. in the past 18 months, beside the 3 tests in windies, he has done jack all. averaged 90 in aus, 58 in england and 67 in india 150+ deliveries, short wide outside off-stump getting smacked for boundaries. B-> He is like a batsman who would get out for single digit score in each inning, but always look solid for his 30 ball duck.
Old guy Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 For me Rahane hasn't done anything either to get in front of Rohit and Rohit was ahead in the queue. It was unfortunate Rohit got injured when he was supposed to play against SA. It's time he got his chance. Rahane will get a chance soon as well with SRT retiring soon hopefully. ok but i dont want to see sehwag in team even in subcontinent his attitude is not right. and we all know abt the rift :giggle: and laxman will play we all know this dont think rohit can open :P
Needforspeed Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Likely XI 1. Sehwag 2. Gambhir 3. Pujara 4. Tendulkar 5. Laxman 6. Kohli 7. Dhoni © 8. Ashwin 9. Ojha 10. Zaheer 11. Yadav Ideally one would have liked to see Laxman go and Rohit Sharma in his place. But I dont think thats going to happen.

daryl1985 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 ok but i dont want to see sehwag in team even in subcontinent his attitude is not right. and we all know abt the rift :giggle: and laxman will play we all know this dont think rohit can open :P Sehwag should be the 1st name down on the team sheet in the SC, Your point about his attitude is valid but he is the greatest ever test batsman in SC conditions IMO and not having him in the side would give any opponents a boost.

Old guy Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 how many test matches to played nd venues ? 2 tests in banglore and Hyderabad
Sidhoni Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Rahane Gambhir Sachin Kohli Laxman Pujara MSD Zaheer Yadav Aaron Ojha
daryl1985 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 but way hings are right now..we may see dhoni in middle of series declaring is retirement from tests or giving up captaincy :cantstop: things really are getting ugly between these 3 gautam, dhoni and sehwag remember cb series ? i dont really want to spam 50 odd threads concerning abt press conference after game again  and lets forget tht for minute do u really think sehwag with current form and attitude will be able to play well in tests so easily they are at home all right but they are still test matches! and he wasnt even bothered abt his performance in australia I still don't think we can go in to a home test series without Sehwag. Do we know what the underlying issue is with those three? It is obvious something is going on.
adi B Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 2 tests in banglore and Hyderabad both venues bad for india..i guess bcci wanted to give these manhoos venues easy matches, like nzl, but honestly i wont be surprised if it ends 0-0 , or nzl wins the bangalore test

It is obvious something is going on. no idea ..maybe kohli getting vice captaincy ahead of gautam ? with sehwag i think tht remark during cb series that they are bad fielders

Ultimate_Game Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 ok but i dont want to see sehwag in team even in subcontinent his attitude is not right. and we all know abt the rift :giggle: and laxman will play we all know this dont think rohit can open :P As daryl1985 mentioned Sehwag is a must for Sub-continent. Plus Sehwag still has 3-4 years left in him and it's not as if we have any decent replacements waiting after seeing Mukund with the India A team in WI. We had to wait nearly 15 years before we managed to unearth a decent opener in Sehwag post Gavaskar and it's no coincidence that our team looked the best with Sehwag as an opener.
