Sachinism Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Ambirs smashed it today. Some real one-sided dominations today
Sachinism Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 You can play U-19 all the while you are 19. Don't know about the 20 year old though
Trichromatic Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 These matches are called Youth ODI. It would be better to change the name of the tournament to something on that basis instead of keeping it U19 WC. :dontknow:
Executioner Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Sir John how much did the Zimbabwe board pay you to show your support for Zimbabwe? $5? $10?
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 its really sad to see the indian colts perform soo poorly.. they were all just happy to be on tv and trying to be stylish rather than play... smit patel got a fifty by playing for himself rather than the team... very very sad i really am goin to stop following the team.. after 40 overs when the score was just abt 120-130 instead of goin for big strokes the kids were still defending and playing for themselves.. if this continues indian cricket future is doomed.. Are these the 11 best we could field??? 1.1 billion ppl, cricket being played in every nook n cranny and these are the best prospects?? what's happening here? are the good players in domestic circuit being left out/ looked over talent-less a-holes with high connections? our domestic structure is extremely pathetic not bringing out the best? coaches? pitches? what could be blamed for the lack of quality or whatever is passing through the cracks in the name of "quality" these days? Folks these are kids for crying out loud! One bad game and it's the end of the world  I can understand if this was the senior team but for u-19 team this reaction is way OTT. The same team won quadrangular trophy in Aus against Aus, Eng, NZ and also won the Asia Cup recently. The team does rely on our top order way too much but it's been the same for our senior team most of the time. Injuries haven't helped either with Manan Vohra sidelined just a few days from the tourney but they are still a decent team. These guys don't play in Aus day in day out so give them some time. Would have been great if we had started off against minnows so that the team could ease in to the tourney but that's how it is.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Sir John started the thread :omg: I can see India lose this match as well

Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 True that' date='he even started the olympic hockey thread:(([/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: And this was the first time in our history we failed to win even one match and lost all the games :cantstop: Mods pls delete the thread and let someone with a better track record create a new one :haha:
Ultimate_Game Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Possibly India vs Pakistan in U19 quater finals' date=' no time for India to warm up.[/quote'] First India has to get past Zimboks and PNG :giggle:
jind Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Sir John started the thread Looks like Sir John made all these match threads a week ago already.. :hysterical::hysterical: SJ is legend
jind Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 state associations quota chalta hai. You wont see 2 players form a single state association' date=' this is why few good player miss the chance because they take only one player from one state association.[/quote'] Don't think state quota of just 1 player is true. Last WC, Mumbai had 3-4 players and even in this WC, there are atleast 2 players from places like Punjab, Gujarat, Bengal, Delhi, Mumbai, etc. Though I tend to agree that the u19 team does not necessarily comprise of the the most talented players.
