Is it time to look beyond R.G.Sharma? Rohit Sharma , though a very talented batsmen has been consistently inconsistent.Its his lack of application that has done him in on most occasion.I think the Indian selectors have given him enough chances to prove himself.Maybe its time to look past him now, daresay even as a test prospect now.

I can show so many guys who have equally impressive stats for longer periods. Against pathetic Indian bowlers and fielders it is not that hard to have great stats these days. Even Abhishek Nayar averages 51 plus.

well problem is our selectors are incompetent regionally biased fools if pujara was given so many chances he owuld ve developed into pretty good player same with rahane who actually performed well and wrong did tiwary do huh ? last time he played he made 100 btw i know they both are in team right now .. but wht happened in australia ? they just pick and drop players on whim and why was rohit included after disastrous a tour ?

I agree on the selectors part and that Rohit made a mockery of himself given the amount of chances in ODI's. But I dont see how the blame falls on him solely when he keeps getting picked to play a format that he never excelled in? Maybe if he was eased in Tests first then onto ODI's.......yeah fair enough. But these days the Indian ODI squad is cut throat and demands results on the spot.

I have heard that before too and there is some truth to it :two_thumbs_up: But I don't know, some of his innings in domestic have been very impressive. I know it's SC pitches and poorer bowlers but he has had that technique for big runs. Maybe he will be ATG of flat tracks, replacing Viru :hatsoff:

ok u seem to be a test cricket follower form wht i remember tell me they way he is getting out will he survive even a session in test cricket? sorry i know he jsut failed in odi's but look at the way he failed ..i think he has big technical flaws he is not lazy his technique makes him look like that and im not saying this now i always maintained this ..even when he was smashing west indies in tests people like pujara will survive (and he maye also fail in odis but for totally diff reasons ) rahane will also do well imho in tests ..and that is judging by technique and the way they got out and played even tiwary is not a solution..and would ve probably made 10 odd runs today

I dont think he has any technical flaws, if anything he has one of the best techniques. Thers no such thing as lazy technique, thats like saying a bowler doesnt have the right technique because he doesnt seem to be giving it his all. Only flaw he has in is his brain is half fried, its mainly his decision making. He simply plays the wrong shot at the wrong time or tries to force the pace of his innings to end up losing his wicket.

ah well then we disagree i have seen problems in his technique ..perfect example of it owuld be his innings vs south africa just before world cup if u can find clips just see them :winky:
