They certainly can't lose the game from that position. They will declare IMO with about 20 overs left in the day. That's what they should do.

Ultimate_Game Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I don't know about you guys but following this series has reinforced the fact how poor we were in Eng & Aus If our batsmen had applied themselves and given it some time we would have piled on the runs as well. Case in point against Aus in the 1st test we were 210/2 with Tendulkar & Dravid in the middle and the bowling was beginning to look average and the pitch flat and just before the end of day 2 SRT threw his wkt away and the complexion of the whole series changed :(( If we had been a bit more patient and tough that 1st Test against Aus was ours for the taking and the series would have gone a different way. It was a great opportunity to break our series duck in Aus but in the end instead of winning the series we ended up getting white-washed :facepalm: I find the Aus tour more frustrating since we have already won 3 series in Eng (last one in 2007) and will do so again, but we had a great opportunity to beat Aus who was rebuilding but our legends couldn't even bat against the likes of Siddle, Hify and Pattinson :mad:

And 0-8 is time to retire.
