msb1991
We win in India only because of spin bowling is really undermining the achievements of our fast bowlers at home in recent years. In 2008 against Aus, Ishant was MOS, against England Zaheer was MOS. Against NZ in 2010, the only test we won, it was Ishant who had a big role. Against SL in 2009, Sreeshant had 5-fer at Kanpur. Against SA in 2008 at Kanpur, Ishant had taken wickets on a dust bowl. In 2 tests series against Aus in 2010, it was Zaheer and Ishant who had played important roles. Against WI in Kolkata test, it was Yadav who had picked 7 wickets. True. However, currently, with Ishant out of form, Yadav not yet fully proven and Zaheer aging, spin bowling is our strength at home. Link to comment
PaceAttack
Wow..!! what a surprise. Dhobi is taking India's cricket back to 90s. Link to comment
India-KXIP fan
This isn't new. He has said this before that curators needs to make turners in India. BCCI have to make their profits aswell (majority income through TV) though so they wont make pitches ending in 4 days forever. Link to comment
jj_28
NZ can't play spinners we have two very good spinners why the hell wont we have a turning wicket What I would like is our FC wickets to not be flat, batting decks but balanced pitches that offer a good deal for the bowlers as well as batsmen Link to comment

The pitch like hyd was a low bounce one, pacers didn't have much to work there as NZ didn't bat long enough for reverse swing to happen. 18 wickets by spinners vs NZ, so its only smart to ask for a turner. cowboysfan
everybody relax, zak and umesh can take more than 2 wickets in the match now.Its not like it wont turn at all,the spinners are still going to clean up the kiwis. Link to comment
Shunya
anything is fine...as long as we win... complete flat tracks a no-no...making it a boring draw... Link to comment
jind
wow...just a couple of years back,we used to get some really flat pitches with each team scoring 500-600+ ala Ahmedabad and that too against the Lankans :P Link to comment
Arif654
Nothing wrong with using home advantage, but I would rather India prepared pitches with some help for seamers when playing against the likes of NZ. I don't think India require turners to beat NZ but it would make the contest more interesting and improve the games of youngsters. Link to comment
Spiderguy252
This is a Road And if we dish out the same kind to the English bats, they'll score 400-500 and knock us off our perch. Or at least draw the game. Kiwis going at 4+ runs an over at 300/6. Typical national highway. Link to comment
Lord
thoda bahut credit NZ ko bhi de do.it was turning for spinners occasionally our bowlers made even Perth look like a road Link to comment
putrevus
if you bowl short and wide, then on the pads. any pitch will be a road. Link to comment
Spiderguy252
thoda bahut credit NZ ko bhi de do.it was turning for spinners occasionally Only Ross Taylor. But people like their wicket-keeper coming out and scoring 60-70 not out off 80 balls is a total joke. Link to comment
Sidhoni
Yaddu was pathetic. His pace was only helping the batsmen as he was bowling short and wide. Needs to get it fuller. Link to comment
Crookbond
I blame this on Dhoni. I mean he can not even ensure that we get a spinning pitch at home? :headshake: Link to comment

Spiderguy252
will this be a venue for India v eng? Nope. Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Nagpur. Link to comment

jairamesh
:hmmm: Ross Taylor and co certainly shoved the notion of wrist work and foot work up Ojha and Ashwin's arses, scored over 300 runs in day nearly at 4 rpo. Link to comment
