For some people (girls and guys alike), attention takes a precedence over respect. For me and you, it may not. These people would ask why would someone seek respect over attention? The claim to cheap demand of publicity comes only when a lesser known struggling model or actress does something out of the ordinary to gain publicity. But that's their job, to get attention. That's their bread and butter. Don't forget, they are selling what the society is buying. When we created a Rakhi Sawant, we set an example. We made a statement that "we buy shamelessness". We have created the market for what these models are selling. We are partners in whatever is happening. Who asked us to get over excited when a Poonam Pandey claimed that she would strip? Long back, Madhu Sapre had a photoshoot along with Milind Suman where she was clad in nothing but a python. Everyone criticized her and called her names. She was accused of vulgar attention seeking. When she was asked about it in an interview later, she said "Every single person I know said that it was disgusting and was bad for the society, yet the magazine sold the highest number of copies ever. Who the hell is buying it?" Today, a model clad in a python is no big deal. In fact today a nude model is no big deal either. With time, we as a society keep pushing the "acceptable" line for morals and ethics. These models and actresses have always tried to push that line and test it's flexibility. That is the trend. We have created that trend, them and us together.

Dhanya Balakrishna called all Tamilians beggar and her name got famous all over net.Now if the trend of insulting other's region, caste ,Language or religion will be adopted by actors or models to get cheap publicity then there will be terrible consequences .

Not actors, but don't our politicians make perfect use of that? We Indians buy hatred far better than we buys shamelessness. We buy communal hatred from politicians and shamelessness from actors and models.
