ShebbySB Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 @ShebbySB : My post had nothing to do with the recent results in matches between SL and Ind' date='did they, mate? So what's with all the hate against SL? Yeah...,our guys have not played good cricket against Ind...Some say they are deliberately under performing.Anyway ,I'm just saying that if sporting wickets are provided, India will go down in the test series vs. ENG...[/quote'] Sporting wickets in India will offer turn to the spinners like sporting wickets in England,South Africa or Australia helps the seamers.I have nothing against lankans. Rayher u r the one who started all this by calling Indians "smelly".Plus where have u seen anything offensive in my posts?I've just shown u the all time records which says that we've always dominated lankans both home & away. Now live with it:hysterical:
ShebbySB Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 A spinning wicket is a sporting pitch too IMO and if that happens I don't think England can succeed. This is not new knowledge. A case in point - ODI series in 2011. I mean if Ravindra Jadeja can be a tormentor for any team' date=' the less said the better about their caliber. Also, there's little to suggest that things have changed.[/quote'] :dito:
saurabhg Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 The English won't be able to whitewash the smellystanis (cause the indian pitch curators only know how to make highways) ' date= probably 2-0 in the three lions' favour. really :omg::omg: ur post showed ur love for India, n hence got paid back in kind.... n by the way, r u a palankan ?? (mixed breed of pakistani n sri lankan) judging by the delibeartely underperforming statement it seems to be the case :hysterical::hysterical:

India-KXIP fan Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Lettuce be realtea here OP on rank turners India win 4-0. But BCCI want to make money so 2 5 day pitches will be in there minimum. So my honest prediction is 2-0 to India, 2 bore draws so BCCI make more money from TV revenue and 2 thrashings (games ending in 4 days).

The grounds will run full, and that hasn't happened in a long long time. There is genuine hate for the English coming into this tour.

So Im expecting 2 very flat tracks but hoping for 2 which become minefields on 5th day instead. Ticket sales are a very small percentage of revenue.
ravishingravi Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Not sure how cocky some supporters are here. Sure we have an upper hand given the conditions but this team will ave two young batsman. Our no 6 , Raina has to be replaced. We don't have a great spin attack. English bowlers will enjoy the reverse swing. To be honest, I have a feeling we might have the worst summer at home.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Don't know about kiwis but highway' date=' grass, clay, swamp, pot hole, Mr. Shukla's backyard ....every time we face, we maul, strip & light up ravaanas like it's Dusshera each time baby![/quote'] :hysterical: Epic! :cantstop:

U r forgetting one thing here we may not have a great spin attack but it is a good one in home conditions, raina will be replaced either by rahane or rohit, and these guys may be new at test level but they are hungry for success and they will want to prove a point or two to critics and they will want to beat England after the hammering they got in England .so wont be surprised if India beat England. And australia
ShebbySB Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I think Dhoni & Fletcher will play a key role on deciding the nature of the pitches.I'm sure that Dhoni wants wickets which will assist spinners more than seamers, not necessarily rank turners. It'll enough to beat them 4-0 at home.Plus chances of KP being in the tour is pretty bleak. That should help us.Personally I would prefer if we can manage to beat them with KP in the team.

Most of us are hoping Eng are as rubbish as they were against Pak. Ajmal was the only one who could walk into our team, even our younger batsmen at home should be far better than theirs were in Sharjah.

Clarke Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Who here thinks England will have fitness concerns ? They've been playing a lot of cricket lately and its a matter of time before a key player like Anderson/Finn breaks down.

They've been playing a lot of cricket lately and its a matter of time before a key player like Anderson/Finn breaks down. It's bowlers especially pacers who suffer most from fitness problems. Finn will be probably fresh for India series and they will always have an option to choose between Anderson and Broad. Finn might not be their first choice, but imo he would be better option and fitness problem might actually be good for them.

Bad recent performances ~ Eng/Aus Eng series being played in India. Chalk & Cheese IMO, imagine facing Martin, Bracewell & Boult on a green top in NZ instead of our tracks.

They've been playing a lot of cricket lately and its a matter of time before a key player like Anderson/Finn breaks down. More than them, I see us facing fitness issues. We play non stop from now on, next test and 2 t20s vs Kiwis, then the world t20, then the CLt20 and 4 tests vs Eng. I don't have any hopes of Sehwag and Zaheer being fit for all 4 tests vs England. Don't know why they have picked Zaheer for the t20 squad.
