Jersey #10 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I can not help but die a little every time I see or hear about the fate of many Syrians every day. Over 6000 dead so far. Thousands have fled the misery. With all the technology, world reach/communication is literally seconds away. Sure, many countries are unstable economically, especially the recent fall of the Europe and America's couple of wars, could this have been prevented? Your thoughts?

Swing_n_Speed Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Thank the USA for this. Syria is in **** for just one reason and that is Iran. If Iran is to be attacked, Syria needs to be taken out. Cos Syria and Iran are allies. Syria is actually Iran's only major ally in the region. Apart from that Syria also funds a terrorist group operating in Lebanon. This group literally fought a full scale war with Israel in 2006, resulting in 1000's dead. And basically the USA is using it's allies in the region including Turkey to destabilize Syria. Actually it's a lot like Mumbai 26/11. Terrorists from other countries armed to the teeth have invaded Syria in the 10's of thousands. Turkey which shares a huge border with Syria is the safe haven for these terrorists. Mumbai was virtually shut down by a handful of terrorists. So you can imagine, when thousands flock in, the mayhem it can cause. Syria's only hope is to hit the source, but since Turkey is with NATO, hitting Turkey will activate the pact with NATO, thus fueling a full scale war. So this is what's currently happening, safe zone in Turkey, funding coming in primarily from Saudi and Qatar, with arms coming in from NATO. Off-course everything is coordinated by America, Britain and France.Additional but less significant safe zones have also opened up in Lebanon and Jordan other nations bordering Syria. The question that everyone is asking here is who are the blokes fighting the Syrian army. It's basically the Olympics of terrorism. You have fighters from all over the world. Battle hardened Iraqi's and Libyans, Palestinian Refugees and random others from Pakistan, Chechnya and other Arab countries. This is no revolution and neither is it about freedom. Geo-Politics at play here. The western media though is shamefully fueling sectarian strife so as to keep the flow of fighters up. Essentially I think most of the fighters are Palestinian refugees. They are known for causing mayhem in whichever country that takes them in. Read about the Lebanon Civil War, Black September in Jordan(50,000 killed by the King of Jordan), siding with Iraq during the Kuwaiti-Gulf-War. That's not to say that the current president of Syria is some great ruler or anything. He too is at fault big time. He literally runs a military state with very limited freedoms. But when you take into account the region he's in, Syria is actually the most liberal of all Arab states. That said this current crisis is a lot more than a mere revolution. Adding to all this is Syria's history. While as a civilization it is one of the oldest in the world, as a nation they are pretty young. Then there were past conflicts with Israel and Lebanon. Well in Lebanon they went in as peace-keepers. All this this adds to the boiling cauldron of geo-politics, sectarianism, history etc etc It's like the best war novel ever written. Sadly it's not a novel, but reality. As an Indian it's fascinating to read bout these countries. And trust me when u read bout them and their crazy wars, it's like the best novel ever written. These people are completely insane.

And the government in Iran needs to stop the war mongering talk with Israel. Iran and Israel need to initiate formal ties with embassies in both countries. And off-course the terrorist group in Lebanon which is funded by Syria and Iran, needs to be disarmed. These people are crazy. They harbor hatred like as though hatred and violence will solve all their problems. They should all be locked in a room and made to sit down and talk. Seriously! You cannot advance Peace through wars. If only these Arabs and the Iranian government would realize that.

It's shocking and very heartbreaking. RIP to the child. Muslims are responsible for this crisis. It's Muslims who suffer the most. The rich neighboring countries like UAE, Saudi, Kuwait aren't helping them either (and refugees aren't attempting to move over there), and not opening the door for refugees. Despite that, media is pointing fingers at EU that they are the one who is responsible for the deaths of the refugees. How is Hungary responsible for raising fences to control this?

All the hocus pocus conspiracy theories about the US/Israel/NATO aside, can anyone point me to a time in history when the middle east was peaceful? They were always at war with someone and if it wasn't an external aggressor they would compensate for that by fighting internally. Talk about hypocrisy in the lands of the religion of "peace"! In the event of such crisis, why rush to the land of the zionists and infidels?!? Arent there enough countries of the peaceful brotherhood to accommodate them? But then why let facts get in the way of a good sob story?!? :giggle:
