King Tendulkar Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What a crazy decision to pick Yuvraj after just recovering from cancer. The guy is so unfit and not ready for international cricket its just not funy. Against NZ was blowing hard after 10 mins at crease and today also so slow. Its not yuvis fault as what he has been through it takes time to get back to good shape. But what a crazy pick based on emotion. He needs another 6 months of playing domestic cricket and working on his fitness.
NareshK Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I agree with you. Not taking anything away from Yuvraj, he is one of the greatest limited overs player in the world and won the World cup for us, but he looks really unfit. He needs some time to get back in shape after what he has been through.
Crookbond Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 More so in a T20 format where everything is so quick. He's 30 not 18.
saneindian Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 He is not fit even for FC cricket at the moment. A good 2-3 months away from being 75-80% fit and as you said 6 months away from fitness required for international cricket. And due to that fitness, his bowling will not be effective either as the pivot needed while delivering the ball will not be as strong. Hope he can cover for those shortcomings with his batting though as he is most likely going to play all the matches (unless he voluntarily decides to drop himself siting lack of fitness).

Bosss.... don't show me these fitness things boss. Yuvraaj Singh is a great player, one of the greatest player ever. He did well for us in the ODI WC and he will do well for us in the T20 WC too. :winky:
Sid Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Really shouldnt be playing, dont know why he is rushing his comeback, wont help himself or the team.He being in middle means cant take quick singles or 2s or 3s,which is criminal in this format.
asterix Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 UV will be one of the factors, India getting kicked out of the tournament.. If you send him to bat between 15-20 overs, then the team is screwed. He shouldn't be in the team. He's not REQUIRED. He needs good rest...
Trichromatic Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 If anything happens to him then who will take the responsibility. We had seen how Sehwag was rushed in England series and he didn't play more than 2 matches.
Executioner Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I knew it He is not even 70% fit and you make him play a WC!!!
Tiger80 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Yuvi, Bhajji, Chawla ,Balaji worst selection for India
vvvslaxman Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 He is fit enough to sit on the couch and watch world T20 not play . He started huffing and puffing after just 1 run.
CG Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 He is fit enough to sit on the couch and watch world T20 not play . He started huffing and puffing after just 1 run. and scolding kohli.
asterix Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 and scolding kohli. Yeah, I noticed that too. He's like a Praa'ji coming in the death overs who can't be asked or bothered and should be respected. Yes this was a warm up match, but I'm pretty sure, given the adulation he has recieved recently, all of that gone to his head and he can't be effing bothered.
Sid Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What are the fking fitness coaches do at NCA,how did they pass him to play this tournament.
CG Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What are the fking fitness coaches do at NCA' date='how did they pass him to play this tournament.[/quote'] if they can pass shewag for eng then what is this.
Sid Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 if they can pass shewag for eng then what is this. LOLZ ya but Sehwag failed coz he is a FTB :--D
Rohit S. Ambani Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 He looks like Gambhir's mom when standing next to him, same skin tone, similar sharp facial features. Just bigger and fatter version like typical Punjabi bulbous mom.
Sachinism Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Man-of-the-Tournament in WC despite being unfit. Anyways if he really is unfit, then need to release him to rest and work on fitness
saket123 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What? we are not putting Yuvraj on the pedestal anymore?? I mean come on guys.. our government just gave him an award recently.. isn't that enough proof of how good he is?
