Executioner Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Kohli in recent past has been bradman-esque at best This guy is on his way on breaking records after records and what is remarkable is that he is still young. Now a big question. What if Kohli wasnt available this year? Well, to be honest, India wouldve lost half the match theyve won this year. Everytime there is a collapse Kohli does something remarkable and gets his team to a good position. His notable performances is that century against lanka in Aus, the 183 against Pak, the 100s against SL in SL. Also, he was brilliant in the T20 against SL, the WU matches and also in the match against afghanistan Now what if kohli wasn't there? Who wouldve saved India's butt at such crucial times? Especially with the pathetic form Sehwag and Gambo are in, and dont forget that yuvraj isnt fit yet
AfghanCricFan Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 people with even higher avg from domestic circle are sitting outside.
Magneto Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 What has India done with Kohli? a) Could not win the 3rd Test against WI in India :wall: b) Lost 4-0 to Australia c) Could not qualify in the finals of either of the tri-nation series - in Australia and Bangladesh. d) Could not beat Pakistan in the T20 warmups. e) Could not beat NZ in the T20 match :hysterical: When Kohli has failed, India has: a) Won the series in WI b) Beaten Sri Lanka in the T20 warm up. :--D

Rather a series-loser. :haha::hysterical::hysterical:

vamos_rafa Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Guys, before making him a demi-god, let him perform in every country. I know, these kind of performances have been done several times, specially for a young Sachin, but atleast he showed up in EVERY freaking country and almost against EVERY bowler. Kohli is still in his nascent stages and to come up with these statements, which were wrong when they were made for Sachin as well as it's a team game, is premature. Also, shouldn't we thank someone like MSD for this Kohli upheavel? We all wanted Rohit Sharma to be in the team for Kohli after the Sydeny test. and now Rohit Sharma is the laughing stock in town. I mentioned only MSD's name inspite of knowing that it's a collective call, but if he gets all the blame for playing the likes of Jadeja and all, then should not he be given credit for this? I know it was a straight forward decision given Kohli's talent, but was it so when he was struggling and Rohit was there in the ranks?
Number Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Series loser?? Seriously Is there such a thing?? Random Troll comment :finger: :fishing: No its a serious comment, neither he strikes fear in the opposition like Sehwag does (or used to do), nor he has big stage composure like Gambhir. :fishing: talk about bottling at the big stage, even Raina who was playing his 2nd world cup match showed more composure than him in those 2 games, also we were under 10X more pressure when Raina came to bat. I mean Raina of all people seriously? played 2 matches and got his presence felt while Kohli just scored his quota of runs against mighty BD. :fishing: In ODIs World talks about how you played in the world cup, not random bilateral ODIs against mother Lanka. In tests he is an average batsman, check his average. :fishing:
Magneto Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 :WTF: You out of your Minds or what ?? Did I concoct any of those? :nervous: Looks like facts to me. :idunno:

Just because you might have wanted Rohit Sharma, don't include me in part of your thought process as an excuse to fill your quota of the daily Dhoni praise.
vamos_rafa Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 "We all"? I didn't know ICF was some collective body. Just because you might have wanted Rohit Sharma' date=' don't include me in part of your thought process as an excuse to fill your quota of the daily Dhoni praise.[/quote'] This is not in for some Dhoni praise or something. I certainly never wanted rohit sharma in the team and neither am I doing any kinda dhoni bhakti here. It was just meant to be a question for those who are always game for mindless criticism of every aspect. And the "We All" could well may be changed to anything which you are more comfortable with.
vvvslaxman Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 So Kohli has really taken Sachin's place in all respects' date=' huh[/quote'] Not exactly. The match he scored 183 and 133 India actually won the games. When he clicks big way India goes on to win especially while chasing.
