Nothing wrong with 2 spinners as old trafford usually spins doesnt it? Even ashwin was getting turn on day 1 And please put your 6 batsmen theory away. When ashwin can make 40 odd runs (more than the tailunt), then thats the batting covered. What did rohit do? He messed the team up! A lead of 100-120 is okay, but shouldn't let them get it easily. Could try Jaddu after a spell each from all 3 seamers.

Man, are you even reading the thread- spinners have taken loads of wickets here. Yes we were blown away by seamers, but that was because of weather conditions more - are our ineptitude I think, seeing that even MSD was able to score 70- and not so much the wicket. In hindsight would be on day 5, not today... By the end of the test, it is unlikely that the Indian pacemen would have taken more wickets than the spinners. Also Shami has been below par so not playing him was a good decision

My gripe is with Patil and his inconsistent selections.As you said good oppurtunity to play both Aaron and Yadav but not in squad.Selection of Binny cant be put on Dhoni,he kicked him out first chance he got(though i dont agree with the way he was used),why was he in the squad in the first place?

Dhoni has been out of form with bat and gloves overseas for years, in fact sice forever as he has rubbish technique and cant do it overseas. Yet that never comes in to equation when removing him as skipper. He is untouchable cos of csk and his sugar daddie
