CG Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Again! Quit making Dhoni the scapegoat, we lost due to many reasons. And Pujara and Kohli are certainly the bigger worries. As i said forget it after 0-8 2-1 0-1 0-1 there is nothing to debate.
CG Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 seriously .. logic takes backseat when emotions ride high.. Time for logic is long gone mate. After 0-8 2-1 logic should have applied.
CG Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Everybody from warne to athers, hussain is havong a go at dhoni captaincy.
CSK Fan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Again! Quit making Dhoni the scapegoat, we lost due to many reasons. And Pujara and Kohli are certainly the bigger worries. We blamed Seniors for previous 8-0. Now they are gone. We blamed lack of bowling, now we have better bowlers. But the one constant who has always been in the team, taking decisions like going completely defensive despite being on top at 1-0 and then losing the match, somehow doesn't need to be blamed. A captain can be hailed as the best ever, world cup winning one when team does well. But when team does bad, blame the young players who are on their first tour to England? Just because he made a couple of 50 (not even 100s)? Really? He doesn't have senior players to hide behind anymore, and using youngsters as scape goats just shows the desperation of Dhoni fans

someone Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Everybody from warne to athers' date='hussain is havong a go at dhoni captaincy.[/quote'] Now, that's what I agree with you. Dhoni's as a captain was pathetic today. But as a batsman, he has been decent, not great but at least much better than our other batsmen. So quit making Dhoni as a scapegoat for our batting failure. But real issue, who can replace him as the captain as the rest of players hasn't shown enough ability to be in the team itself.

He had the best of batting conditions, hardly face Moeen, came when usually Anderson and Broad were done. A couple of 50s cannot hide the fact that he cannot bat overseas. At best Pujara and Kohli can score 150s. As best Dhoni can score a 50. This is a big factor
Lannister Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Again! Quit making Dhoni the scapegoat, we lost due to many reasons. And Pujara and Kohli are certainly the bigger worries. Some of his field setting was pathetic. Because of his negative approach, bowlers can't even perform full to their potential.

CSK Fan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 WTF' date=' how do you come with such ridiculous statement? Pretty idiotic[/quote'] Since Dhoni has never scored a 100 overseas in his entire career, while Pujara and Kohli both have my statement has some facts behind them It is extremely myopic if we are crucifying the young Pujara and Kohli on their first overseas tour of England when they scored big on their previous overseas tours, yet give Dhoni a free pass for couple of 50s when he was pathetic for a long time overseas

Sachin=GOD Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 "Bizarre and weird. No common sense or logic whatsoever." - Shane Warne's opinion on MS Dhoni's unusual bowling changes and field placements Then again, what does Shane Warne know about cricket.
CSK Fan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 blame the guy who did less worse and leave the guys who did nothing.. probably another logic in your arsenal This is the same logic Sachin fans used to defend him saying, hey he was the second best batsman on our last overseas tour to England (this is a fact BTW). That did not mean he was not way past it and did not need to be dropped. And he did retire Also, none of these things are based on one single tour. Our batsmen and bowlers are mainly very young guys. Some of them have done amazing on other overseas tours. Judging them based on one tour is extremely unfair. On the other hand, Dhoni has not stood up in overseas tour at all. Scoring a couple of 50s is not enough to absolve 3 years of performance I don't think people are passing any verdict based on 4 test matches here
CSK Fan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 The bigger question should be if not Dhoni' date=' who else? Rest of our players don't have a case at all.[/quote'] Our young players need to be given more chance and backed. We are losing anyways, so what is the worst which can happen?
FreakazoiD Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 While Dhoni is a terrible captain in test cricket, India doesn't have a realistic alternative especially when the whole team seems to be such poor form. Ashwin might be a candidate, but he has to start performing with the ball. As for the other candidates - Kohli and Pujara have enough problems of their own and Gambhir doesn't look a test level batsman. I would be happy to try Ashwin out as captain but then we need to back him as our lead spinner - a big risk when playing overseas.

zep1706 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Warne: Dhoni has no common sense and match awareness. Couldn't agree more.
adi B Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 another magnificent overseas defeat for dhoni.11th away defeat out of 15 tests under him since the last english tour,a record to be proud of
