Pioneer Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Where is the outrage now, Pakistan? There was a "Love the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) day" not so long ago and thousands thronged the streets and some expressed their love for the Prophet by attacking policemen and pedestrians. How many thousands have protested against the TTP? The TTP and their ilk have misused and maligned the name of the Prophet much more than any 2 bit movie maker or cartoon ever can. What do the goons in the Raza Academy have to say about this? :hmmm: I can only pray for the safety of this brave child. God bless her. There actually has been a significant amount of outrage over this, and that is something rare for attacks of this nature. On another note, Madonna dedicates a song to Malala

Crookbond Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Pakistani police make arrests in case of Taliban shooting of 14-year-old education activist Mingora police chief Afzal Khan Afridi said arrests had been made, but he declined to give any details about the number of people detained or what role they're suspected in having in the shooting. He said he did not want to endanger the ongoing investigation. Texy Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Where are the b.astard traitors who destroyed property, rioted, looted in India based on that you tube video? Where's the outrage now? No protest? no riots? So Youtube was offensive to the religion but the actions of Taliban is just? Selective outrage huh? Nothing from Raza Academy? Nothing from the home grown hater Zakir Naik either? strange!

Nothing from the home grown hater Zakir Naik either? strange! Attack on your whole identity is some times stronger than attack on one person. Being from Tamilnadu, I have seen such behavior from people belonging to certain castes. I'm not condoning the attacks (the one on the girl or the mob attack due to YouTube videos). In fact, I strongly oppose both, I'm just analyzing the psychology of sick people.
gangnam style Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Women do not enjoy equal rights. Saudi women cant vote, drive a car, or leave home without a male guardian. There is a school of thought which believes girls should be married off once they reach puberty, stay at home in the kitchen, and bear as many children as her husband wants her to.

akshayxyz Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 When your god is threatened by a 14 year old girl (or a cartoon, or a $hi.tty youtube video, or a book by...), time to get a new god.
Crookbond Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 EXACTLY!!! u just need to expand ur thoughts here :) I am with you on this point. There has been enough coverage and outcry in Pakistan in addition to help by nearby countries. Malala Yousafzai: 'fatwa' issued against gunmen http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/oct/12/malala-yousafzai-fatwa-gunmen-pakistan A group of 50 Islamic clerics in Pakistan have issued a fatwa against the Taliban gunmen who tried to kill a 14-year-old girl, famous for campaigning for the right of young females to an education. The Islamic scholars from the Sunni Ittehad Council publicly denounced attempts by the Pakistani Taliban to mount religious justifications for the shooting of Malala Yousafzai and two of her classmates as they sat inside a school bus on Tuesday. UAE to send air ambulance for Malala Yousufzai, girl shot by Taliban http://www.ndtv.com/article/world/uae-to-send-air-ambulance-for-malala-yousufzai-girl-shot-by-taliban-279535 Visas are being finalized for the air ambulance crew and six doctors who will accompany the flight, Islamabad's Ambassador to the UAE Jamil Ahmed Khan told Pakistan's Geo TV on Sunday. Arrangements have been made to treat the girl at three hospitals in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, he said. The UAE Embassy in Islamabad could not immediately be reached for comment. No decision has yet been taken to send the girl abroad, but the air ambulance is part of the contingency plan, the Pakistani military said on Sunday. Malala is being treated in a military hospital, where doctors removed a bullet from her neck. The bullet went into her head before travelling toward her spine.
