rkt.india Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 No problems/rash shots/dropped catches today. Has had 2-3 awkward moments against the spinners but that's it. He was pretty much Dravid part 2 in that WC, would see out the new ball, pertty much all Dravidsque shots like on drive, cuts, drive through off side, pulling th eball all like Dravid, even batting stance was like Dravid, don't know if it has changed now.
Cevno Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Saurashtra's Patta strategy working. Dire. 2/3 teams have won like this already and now if Mumbai and Saurashtra reach finals more teams will prepare patta's next season. FFS Punjab.

He wasn't as solid in defence. To me atleast, Tanmay Srivastava looked more impressive.
Clarke Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 cricinfo: Is the general Punjabi large-heartedness on display? :hehe:
Magneto Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I don't watch an over, and Punjab is in shambles suddenly. What a silly run-out

No Dravid here.

Well, this wicket has turn and bounce so not really a patta. Pretty much a turning track (from Day 3).
Magneto Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 From Cricinfo - Are Punjab the domestic version of SA? :winky:
Number Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Was a make or break day for Kaul's career. Messed it up.
saneindian Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Punjab crumbling now Upto Bhajji to bail his team out
saneindian Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Was a make or break day for Kaul's career. Messed it up. Comeon. The guy is all of 24-25, lots of cricket ahead of him Will have plenty of such opportunities in the future.
Number Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Comeon. The guy is all of 24-25, lots of cricket ahead of him Will have plenty of such opportunities in the future. 25 yrs of age, not even in the Zonal teams, despite outscoring all the keepers in the country for 2-3 seasons. Don't think he is favt of selectors. Although he has played probably best innings of the season 90 odd and 165 on seaming tracks but I don't think now he will get the chance. :((

SLICKR392 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Punjab :hehe: Looking at the time left, Surashtra might win by first innings.

Last year Punit Bisht of Delhi got picked ahead of him due to scoring a few more runs than Kaul. Not to forget Vikram Rathore is the NZ selector. Will surely push the case of some of these successful Punjab players.
