Sachin=GOD Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Resign? He should be sacked by the PM (unless ofcourse the PM and Congress officially wants Kejriwal to be eleminated). FIR should be filed and/or courts should step in NOW! He won't resign and he won't be sacked. IIRC he currently holds 2 portfolios and there's going to be a Cabinet reshuffle soon so one portfolio may be taken from him.
akshayxyz Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Law minister & Oxford educated.... How did he get into oxford? based on money power?? Thats how it has always been for people coming from rich/political families. And in on his recent quote - this is the only thing that comes to mind. Vinaash kaale, Vipreet buddhi.

Trichromatic Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 isnt even that illegal? dont laugh at my ignorance if it isnt:--D Nope. There are always more portfolios than number of ministers. Number of ministers can't exceed 15% of the total number of members.
Sachin=GOD Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 isnt even that illegal? dont laugh at my ignorance if it isnt:--D No. Usually most of the ministers have only one portfolio but when someone resigns unexpectedly (as happened when TMC withdrew support) or someone passes away (Vilasrao Deshmukh was a minister and he passed away recently) or some minister is sacked etc then his/her portfolio is usually given to another minister for sometime before a reshuffle happens.
ganeshran Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 How can a law minister of the nation issue such public threats to anyone. Its either unbelievable stupidity or arrogance or both.

Trichromatic Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 How can a law minister of the nation issue such public threats to anyone. Its either unbelievable stupidity or arrogance or both. It was probably a closed door conference. Anyway, it shows how low Indian politics has stooped and how confident politicians are now.
Crookbond Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 How can a law minister of the nation issue such public threats to anyone. Its either unbelievable stupidity or arrogance or both. He thought those words would not reach TV - gone are those days.
Sachin=GOD Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 http://india.gov.in/govt/cabinet.php 11 ministers out of 38 hold more than one portfolio. thats because of some recent developments like TMC withdrawing support, DMK ministers resigning, Vilasrao Deshmukh passing away and Pranab Mukherjee becoming Prez. Otherwise only a few central ministers hold more than one portfolio for a long time.
saneindian Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Farrukhabad: Activists of India Against Corruption (IAC) and a journalist were allegedly manhandled here by some persons today when they were conducting a survey regarding allegations of financial irregularities in a trust run by Union Minister Salman Khurshid. A Delhi-based journalist Abhinandan Mishra and members of IAC led by their local convener Laxman Singh were allegedly manhandled and stones were pelted on them when they were returning from Pitaura, native place of Khurshid in Kayamganj area this afternoon, sources said. Khurshid represents the Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh. The IAC members claimed that they have informed senior police officials about the incident. When contacted, Additional Superintendent of Police O P Singh said he has been informed over phone about the incident and has asked the journalist and IAC members to lodge a written complaint. The matter would be probed and the required action would be taken against those found guilty, he said. http://www.financialexpress.com/news/day-after-salman-khurshid-threat-iac-men-scribe-assaulted-in-farukkhabad/1018651/ Looks like the idiot Khursheed and his goons are really walking the talk. Khurshid talked about spilling blood if anyone reached Farrukhabad and his goons have today attacked a journo covering this scam. And we still have this so called 'suave' and mind mannered Oxonian as our law miniter. Should be sent behind bars right away.
someone Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 You would have imaged living in the 21st century, any threats or accusations made by the government people would be given huge negatively publicity by the media. Instead, here we have a total denial by the media themselves. They enjoy supporting the current government and no surprises that our media has been known for poor ethics and bias reporting.
Crookbond Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Khurshid defends ‘blood’ comments, says he’s being judged unfairly http://www.firstpost.com/videos/news-wrap-kejriwal-under-fire-bjp-boycotts-jpc-494648.html
