Gadkari's business ventures was well known for some time now atleast in Maharashtra. He is a businessman more than a social entrepreneur. And hence what ? I ll be back home to see this and pass judgement. But on the face of it, it seems like the weakest expose recycling known facts. I was hoping for something more from IAC. I don't think you have read things completely. Land in this village was acquired by Maharashtra government to construct dams. Land acquired was far in excess of actual requirements. According to rules, the excess land should either be returned to farmers or leased out to them for farming. Flouting these rules and despite repeated requests from farmers, the excess land was handed over to Nitin Gadkari's organizations by Ajit Pawar, the then Irrigation Minister. This was also in violation of rules because land belonging to irrigation department cannot be transferred or leased to private organizations. When farmers protested, they were threatened by Gadkari's henchmen. You don't always need a x crore scam - suspicion is enough, even if it is known.

In India almost all businessmen pay bribe and ask favours from govt.I don't think you can find any businessman who has not done this.IAC should expose deadly corrupt scams with credible evidence O/W they will loose their credibility

It also helps project the image that IAC's prime goal is to combat corruption in the country and not just to target the ruling party

Only reason BJP hasn't attacked Congress furiously when Kejriwal and media were all over Congress, is that they knew that there is little scope of getting help of Kejriwal for BJP. They couldn't do much as opposition and saw only their campaign getting hijacked by IAC. Kejriwal and co stole BJP's thunder and party is not feeling too good about it. That's enough for IAC to earn credibility.

And from there govt institutions would maybe look in to, investigate and prosecute corruption. I had a dream.... Its not about IAC invsetigating and rooting corruption out country wide. Its about the govt doing and our country institutions doing this, instead of them being the most corrupt.

Majority of People of country hardly care about corruption.they only speak against it when it hurts them.One can easily see how many people break red lights if there is no police and if they get caught they are happy to pay 100-200 rupees rather than chalan.As long as corruption benefit people they hardly speak any word against it
