We need to see these guys you mention bowl in some odis to see there worth i.e pace , movement and accuracy. Dinda is just not good enough for highest level from what I have seen. Too small and too slow.

You cannot judge bowlers for tests from ODIs. That is not the right parameter. Bowling in both the formats is a different thing.

Ishant and Umesh's average doesnt even come close.

He was never given an opportunity to play tests in India. Of the 6 tests he played, he picked up 27 wickets. That's impressive however you look at it. He was much better than Ishant in that England series. In fact, Ishant is one guy who just gets picked just because he is "phasst". I have never seen a more brainless bowler who has played 45 tests and still doesnt know how to pick wickets. I just think he is short on grey matter in his brain and will never learn to bowl well in his life.

Also the same Ishant playing in the same helpful conditions was useless in England. Also in Australia.

Before WI series Ishant had average of 28 in India, he was man of the series against Aussies in 08. Helped us win many home tests. PaceAttack is going wrong with his support to Ishant though, if Ganguly could pick up wickets in England then why can't Ishant ? Accept that he has been struggling and shouldn't be in the team for by his current form.

:cantstop: Such ignorance .Have you really watched him bowl .Currently his problem his Seam position which is a basic flaw whihc has crept in to his game.At his best 2007-2009 he had a grerat seam position so even with less pace he was dangerous.If he gets it right now with increased pace he will be do well.

Ok, then tell me how come it's proved when his second half of the career in India has been all poor form with mostly wickets of lower order batsmen and the odd wicket here and there. Look at the South Africa, WestIndies and other tours for reference. If any bowler bowls the amount of overs he does, he is bound to get a few wickets, but it's just numbers. But his average proves how poor he really has been. Anyways the matter is - By current form Ishant doesn't deserve a place in the squad.
