He was in squad against England and well might be against Aus as well. He is just not picked for ODI team. That is why I said 'probably'. FC record average or not, were they not chosen for ODI team based on their FC performance? Why can't you get the basic point rather than nitpicking the post and then dwelling on the trivial issues?

Last year Peter Forrest was selected for ODIs based on FC and did well. Jalaj is an attacking batsman suited for one day rather than test. It is more for India because we play very few one day matches in domestic cricket and if you pick stats very few domestic batsmen will have good one day domestic records. Guys who have done well in FC are also considered to have good temperament which work in every form of cricket. Basics are same whether you play test or ODIs. You will have hard time picking an India A squad for one days if you pick players on one day domestic stats. They play just 4-5 one days a year.

The good thing is Shami and Bhuvi have made wonderful transition from India A to the senior side. Among the batsmen, Mukund, Surya Yadav, Majumdar, Bist and Menaria have done nothing to go to the next A tour. That 50 vs England may have given some hope to Mukund though and will keep him in contention. Chand has had a mediocre season as well but may still hold his spot. The spinners have shown no improvement. Darekar did well on the A tours but surprisingly has done nothing in Ranji matches. Among pacers Rituraj and Vinay have not done much . Awana has had some chances but not sure if he going to be picked again given the strong performances of younger seamers in the season gone by. Shikhar Dhawan, Jalaj Saxena and Saha have done more than enough to retain their A squad spots IMO. For the next A tour, from the above list the players likely to be retained could be- Dhawan Mukund Chand Rohit Saha Jalaj Saxena Shami and Bhuv will be busy with the CT, so we may see a new set of pacers for the A tour. For the spinners, at the moment, no one looks good enough.
