CSK Fan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 NZ arent a real team?strange' date='I thought they r pretty good,a certain Singh took 10 wickets @ 42 last time they were here[/quote'] He keeps posting the same cr@p on each thread and runs away with tail between legs when Harbhajan's stats overseas against real teams is posted. If we include 7 matches of Harbhajan out of which 4 were against Aus in Aus, his average will be double of Ashwin
Lord Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 NZ aren't a real team. Tendulkar has poor records against some of these types of teams as well. But he's also a big game player. Excellent record against Aus, esp when in prime. Aus were also the best team during this time. Highest wicket taker 3 times in home series. Owned Ponting. Ashwin doesn't come close potential wise. how many games Ashwin has played against Aussies at home?
India-KXIP fan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 how many games Ashwin has played against Aussies at home? Ashwin has only doubled his away average at home (srs) That's if you take out bottom 5 teams. Doubt he can average below 30 overall against top teams. Pretty sure Bhaji has excellent overall records against the two teams that have stayed in top 2 of rankings over most of last decade Australia and South Africa. That's a sign of quality, most spinners are like Ashwin where they are excellent against lower level teams and poor against top teams but have decent overall record.
Eternal Atma Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Harbhajan atleast took 400 wickets before he' date=' well, turned into Harbhajan. This overweight pretender already looks out of his depth against serious batsmen.[/quote'] Bhajji was rubbish in his last 100 or so wickets. We just kept persisting with him. He is the worst bowler in the 400 club. I don't know why Bhajji is being discussed. Not like he will ever be our no1 test spinner again even if Ashwin flops.

India-KXIP fan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 :hmmmm2: yes because was awesome in first 2 years too, averaged 45 n 35 Age: 26 (peak) Potential: Little /thread He can't get quality players out. Bhaji has owned Ponting and Amla.
CG Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Ashwin was better today ,Good learning experience for him.
vivek_singh3187 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 He bowled better than yesterday....however whenever he was trying to bowl carrom ball...he was hit for the boundary by the batsman....but nevertheless the more he will play....the more he will learn. Probably instead of playing IPL he should play some FC & County cricket...so that he can get used to bowl long spells consistently, without going for too much variation.
umairbaig Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 but on this forum he was compared to ajmal and rated even higher than him.....what happened to him now???

umairbaig Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 dude ashwin has done well in home conditions and that too against weaker opposition, he didn't performed outside india and against top sides and ppl started rating him higher than ajmal this is where i feel u ppl overestimate or exaggerate the new guys in ur lineup
