We all know what he did when he played against England.Jadeja selection for tests is poor along with the chawla. Overall career record in FC cricket is the difference. Jaddu is consistently performing. Yuvraj wasn't.

His selection was more of an emotional choice than a rational one. It was bound to fail. Jadeja has never played tests before. In any case, I hope Jadeja plays as the 3rd spinner in place of a seamer rather than a No.6 batsman.

Ideally yes, But right now it's emergency stations because of the ****-ups from Srikkanth during Windies and NZ home series and now this committee. From BCCI point of view, 2-1 down, 1 Test to go, it's firefighting scenario.

Iam not convinced about Jadeja as test player eventhough he made triple in flat track in domestic. Ideally Rahane should play. Also not sure why Chawla was picked instead of Mishra who took wickets against England team in tour match.

Sooda Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I think his bowling, though not exactly going to set the Eng bats quaking, will be tight and not that easily hammered. Batting Im less sure of, but he will not be so tested by the short ball here than he would be overseas, so could be worse. He deserved a call up to the A team tour of WI and NZ before a test call surely, instead of Saxena (as well as Jalaj did) - but that would have required planning and foresight something that is beyond our selectors. I hope he grabs the chance with both hands and does well

We need a much better batting effort.
