Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 "It has been tough," Dhoni said after the draw in Nagpur that gave the series to England, "But there are not many things that will come close to when we lost the 2007 50-over World Cup. This is not even close to that." http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2012/content/current/story/597457.html I remember Dhoni saying a few years ago that this was his most painful memory. This was before our successive whitewashes in tests and loss at home now. This is a masterpiece. English people on my facebook are saying no wonder they won because India are not interested in test cricket :yay: It is hurting their victory, the fact that the opposition team doesn't care :hysterical: We beat England 5-0 in ODI's before now it is time to crush both Pak and Eng in ODI's. T20 is just fun. Pak shouldn't even be here in my opinion as haven't clamped down on Mumbai plot organisers. Dhoni :hatsoff::hatsoff:

Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Honestly he has gone some way to restore indian pride! He can say this because he knows we will destory teams once we put on the coloured outfit.

vvvslaxman Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 This gotta be one of the most irresponsible statement ever made by any Indian captain. That was freaking pyajama cricket. Somewhat a lottery where you had little chance to come back. But over here you had so many chances to come back. But your team systematically got screwed every time

But your team systematically got screwed every time 07 hurt me more too and I think many indians. Ok we love test cricket first but a wc is an event every 4-5 years and ODI is our preferred format. We lost to Bangladesh in the group even. I think Dada was batting all innings like it was a test match with his **** sticking out and not rotating strike. Dhoni went first ball trying to cut like a warrior. Good statement anyway imo. No point running your own team down. Sort your issues internally. Let those retarded journalists spew and haters :finger:

Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 We will teach them a lesson this ODI series I hope, it is our shining light. Tendulkar must open. England must get an **** whooping.
twww Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 :haha: Remember Cook and KP will be playing in the OD series as well.

Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 :haha: Remember Cook and KP will be playing in the OD series as well. Have you seen England bat in ODI's? They bat very very slowly bar KP! They are good if they are chasing like 250, because they approach batting in an old school way. We must prepare roads and score 300 plus and they will collapse under pressure. Tendulkar is one ton away from 50 100's in ODI and the entire indian team and media can inflict blows on England with a crushing victory.
Crookbond Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I just think someone must have not specifically asked Dhoni to compare home loss versus 2007 WC loss and his personal opinion is that 2007 was more painful. Not defending Dhoni & his tactics at all but you can't just start finding wrong with every step he takes.

So everyone knew it was an aberration more than norm.

Not defending Dhoni & his tactics at all but you can't just start finding wrong with every step he takes. Maybe. It is a well known fact how much 07 hurt him. I have heard him say this a few times in the past. When we lost in T20 wc few years back he said again it was nothing compared to 07.
Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 But we beat the crap out of Bangladesh every time.. after that.. except once. So everyone knew it was an aberration more than norm. Of course it was an aberration. But it's not nice losing when it mattered the most in a wc. Now I want to see England **** whooped this ODI series so Swann cries again and says ODI cricket should no longer exist.
Tridibans_16 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Well I had a few private messages regarding this Bhatakti aatma.... But now I am definitely sure he is on BCCI payroll, social media PR managermaybe :giggle:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I read the thread title and I thought it must be something like - "thank you Dhoni, now please step down from the Captaincy and retire from Tests" and then I saw the OP
