spin academy started by BCCI will certainly help. Regarding fast bowling, we have huge issues because these bowlers dont get proper guidance. State associations like Haryana and Rajasthan have done well to appoint good coaches for their fast bowlers.
still wht im saying is kids are taking up fast bowling even if we dont have good fast bowlers in national team overall atdomestic level there are more bowlers who can bowl quick and have potential compared to before now if we take care of them properly we can have decentbattack but i will never happen cos selectors can always go back to mithun and co and select pathan and dinda in tests

totally agree its zip of pitch which is important when ishant was good he had zip i still think he is selected for wromg format and too early:((
Ishant had zip off the pitch but seems to be losing it gradually over time.

Ankit Rajpoot is the brightest young talent after Shami for me' date=' only 19 and how he was not selected U19 WC is still perplexing and indicates towards the quota selections.[/quote'] what about Mohit Sharma?

We should choose pacers with pace, spinners who can really spin on any surface, batsmen who can play bounce and swing well and any other player who has a good temperament and can play during tough or important situations and groom them in an academy under good international coaches.

He had the zip bcoz in the past he landed the ball on it's seam. He is struggling to do that these days.

what about Mohit Sharma?
Mohit Sharma is 24, Rajpoot is 19, lot of potential in Rajpoot. Sharma needs to be tried on A tours. Rajpoot still need to play FC and improve. Sharma has improved a lot and has been a revelation this season.

:yay: for Shami Ahmed....... Thank goodness the selectors didn't pick him for the crap format like they did with poor Awana.... ODIs should give him a better chance to show his skill sets. He is definitely one to watch out for and needs to be groomed properly. Shami was someone who impressed Wasim Akram (unfortunately Unadkat also did lol) but Shami has improved each tour and unadkat has regressed.... so let's see how he goes against pak

With guys like Awana and Shami, they need to be given a longer rope........ i wouldn't worry too much if they don't take the world by storm in their first few games as they have shown glimpses of being classy bowlers

Awana has a good long record and Shami has performed well for India A over a good number of games. Bowlers with that sort of pedigree need to be given many opportunities.

hope u stay dissapointed forever and dont create fecking thread full of praises after he does well stick to ur words:winky:
Hope he does well and will be first to lavish praise if quality. Just have a feeling he will be ordinary. I would love to be wromg though. At the end of day I dont recall seeing him play. So I am in no position to judge him at all. Just repeateedly seeing trundlers play for india destroys the hope and spirit of a man

Au contraire one should only be praised after proving something. Anyways, I hope he does well, I really do.

You should spend more time getting others to give a view, as loads of posters have splinters up their arses from sitting on fence.:giggle:
