Nova Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Dutch artist Bart Jansen gave his dead house cat by the name of Orville his last respects in a rather unusual manner in June 2012: He used the animal's skin as the outer layer for a remote-controlled helicopter. Actually, to be more precise, it's a quadrocopter. He installed a rotor on each of the cat's outstretched paws. In addition to the photos, a video of the "Orvillecopter" created quite a stir online. Was it a brilliant artistic installation or simply tasteless? The issue was hotly debated on the SPIEGEL ONLINE forum. Over 40,000 readers shared the article with their friends on Facebook.
