Even Gambhir owned Malinga,so no big deal....but doesn't change the fact that he is still a beast in this format. I guess practice does make people perfect :two_thumbs_up:

people try to slog..thats is the problem just stay still and and time the ball..its also predictable tbh u can actually target those yorkers cos he will def bowl 1 or 2 each over

Malinga will give boost to SL...He is still probably the best wicket taking bowler in LOI's right now.
Lol what malinga best wikcet taker in odis currently? He has been hammered by everybody in last one year.He has a big belly now and cannot maintain his pace .He has become a t20 freelancer.

But he is still effective....This is LOI's...Malinga is so one dimensional that he wouldn't have lasted in Test cricket even if he hadn't reired but we have to give credit were due,to bowl yorkers time and again with such pin point accuracy is a tremendous talent. His record speaks for itself....Even for every Kohli or Gambhir trashing...he bowled some match-turning spells even against us recently. And obviously he is the leading wicket taker in BBL too,so we must acknowledge that

I said he is definetely one of the best LOI bowlers especially at the death....I would have him over any of our bowlers right now-only in LOI's though He is a T20 freelancer and paid highly at that for a reason....Would you trust Gayle in tests in recent times ....No but they have a specific skillset that makes them MVP's in shorter format

Finch is pretty much the same atm. Struggling in Shield cricket in last one year and a bit, but killing it in the shorter formats.

malinga is good but i dont think he boosts team that much..atleast not in australia now with 2 new balls he will get no reverse and bounce actually is disadvantage for him he is good in t20's though..anywhere

Agree about no reverse being a disadvantage but as far as bounce goes,he has a killer short ball as far as boosting the team,it is Srilanka we are talkina about so he would make a difference

Unmukt chand should be selected. Shikhar dhawan is a medicore player these days.
There are so many players who have done well in Ranji Trophy and you go for Unmukt Chand who was not that good this season. There won't be any criteria for selection to the Indian team if such picks are made.

Healy on Wade:

"What Adam Gilchrist had was a relevance to his team," Healy said. "He was appropriate to the team. He had a team with a great bowling attack that created more chances than you needed. We haven't got an attack like that now. We've got an attack that if you need 20 wickets in a Test, they might create 18 and you'd better take a half-chance here or there or a great run-out and you might get over the line. "That's where you don't need a wicketkeeper missing stuff. It's right now Australian cricket in the Test form initially need the best wicketkeeper. We need to find out who that is, and someone who is not making mistakes."

Srilanka have smartened up as to how they use Ajantha Mendis...Only if they used him like this early in his career,he would have been more effective in the long run.
