My friends in India throw up names such as Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma, Ashoke Dinda, Parminder Awana, Shami Ahmed, Atul Sharma , Abhimanyu Mithun among others
So Guru and Dravid are still in touch.

Hype started just before test debut.
No. When he played his first Duleep trophy match and took wickets of Laxman and Dravid there clocking 140+ and then he came into more limelight when he bowled his first delivery in IPL 2010.

And add the idiot bhogle who whenever a new guy debuts just keeps saying he is said to be 150ks in domestic but most turn out to be 130k and keeps mouthing ****.
bhogle has low self esteem, chronic problem of his...apart from verbal diarrhoea.

First get a few genuine spinners. we can start winning at least a home. What is BCCI doing with our spin legends like Bedi,Prasanna,Chandra et al and why can't they bring them to coach the new generation spinners? All we have now are IPL dart throwers.

More young boys are taking up fast bowling rather than spin and that is the reason we have started getting more decent fast bowlers at domestic level. Spin is loosing its charm because youngsters are not interested or attracted to it.

We still have a few good spinners. Just because most of them are left arm spinners doesn't make them bad. Just there's no special talent coming through.
