Well Anderson was handful all alone, Aus attack are no duds either. They use reverse swing effectively although only Siddle is experienced. India have to make use of the inexp Starc/Pattinson bring in but I see them all over us when we're 10/2 (Sehwag and Vijay wont last long enough)

Many players nearing milestones : Sachin - 355 runs away from 16000 Test runs. Sehwag - 441 runs away from 9000 Test runs. Dhoni - 117 runs to 4000 Test runs. Kohli - 109 runs to 1000 Test runs. Pujara - 239 runs to 1000 Test runs. Pragyan Ojha - 5 wickets to 100 Test wickets. Ishant Sharma - 13 wickets to 150 Test wickets.
Our players are capable of reaching age milestones. Say xxx days to 36 years etc. Another milestone they can breach without fuss is number of matches and innings played.

Sehwag gonna bat wearing specs.. PTI2_17_2013_000162B.jpg Sehwag had been complaining of a mild headache for the past few days, has been reportedly advised by his doctor to use the 0.25 power corrective lenses in order to overcome the problem. SehwagÃÔ coach AN Sharma informed MID-DAY that the dashing opener batted with spectacles in the nets back home in Delhi before heading to Mumbai for the Irani Cup which he eventually did not figure in due to a stomach ailment. Å©e has a minor number. He was fine in the nets, Sharma said. There have been several other regular wearers of glasses Clive Lloyd, Zaheer Abbas, the New Zealanders Daniel Vettori and Walter Hadlee. Even Anil Kumble began his career wearing glasses before shifting to contact lenses towards the end. So glasses might be just the thing that Sehwag needs to resurrect his career. But the difficulty for Sehwag, as it was for Roy initially, will be getting used to the glasses. Indeed, the question everyone is asking is whether Sehwag will wear the glasses during the Test as well. The right-hander has always been an instinctive batsman who relied on his phenomenal hand-eye co-ordination to dominate the best bowlers of his generation. If this tiny change can help him get back to his best then Sehwag wouldnÃÕ mind sporting the ÃÈeeky look for a while. Pankaj Roy got his 173 at Chennai the venue for the first Test against Australia and India on February 22 and Sehwag will hope he can follow in his footsteps. It also does help that Sehwag record at Chennai is pretty stunning as well 5 matches, 708 runs at an average of 101.14 and AustraliaÃÔ attack isnÃÕ one that will have him quaking in his boots either. All in all, India will have their fingers crossed and hope that one way or the other, Sehwag starts firing again. http://www.firstpost.com/sports/virender-sehwag-pankaj-roy-and-the-case-for-specs-629492.html

for a player like Viru who relies on hand eye co ordination IMO this might just be the thing which significantly lifts his game.

According to his coach' date=' his number is too low to have any effect on his batting even without specs, 0.25 is really low.[/quote'] i personally beg to differ. At the highest level even the smallest change make the difference. btw based on those pics viru does look at have lost some weight.

Will this level of correction have any significant bearing on his game? Normally (and not always), 0.25 correction means he now has 20/20 vision without glasses. Young people with no glasses typically have 20/15 vision so the expected percentage increase in Sehwag's vision is (20/15 - 20/20) X 100 = 33.33%.

yes but its also about the headaches. For all we know viru has been carrying them with him for some time. its just recently that they became an issue enough for him

Placebo effect is possible too. Headaches could be the result of stress rather than his vision. 0.25 is usually not considered a vision defect and most people who have this defect are not aware of their condition nor have any symptoms.
