Dumbbells Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I think the 3 bowlers at nca are umesh, varun and zaheer who are in NCA training to get fitness. Nevertheless Aussies are gonna play 4 seamers and if sachin gets bowled again, it would embarrass us and sachin.

At least 11 people are dead and 78 civilians injured following two "massive" blasts in the Dilsukh Nagar region - just 8km from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. "This is a dastardly act and the guilty will not go unpunished," Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said of the attacks, the deadliest to hit India since 13 people died in a 2011 bombing outside the High Court in the capital New Delhi. The shock development came just hours before play was due to commence in the first Test between India and Australia at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium. News of the dual bombings is sure to spark high-level concern among Cricket Australia chiefs, with Australia's stars due to arrive in Hyderabad on Wednesday to prepare for the second Test. Of particular concern will be the proximity of Hyderabad's major cricket ground, which is less than 10km from the site of the devastating attacks that rocked the nation. Cancelling the tour would be a last resort, with Cricket Australia and Indian cricket authorities likely to discuss the possibility of relocating the second Test to ensure the safety of their Test stars. The one certainty is world-cricket leaders will take no risks after the Lahore bombings of 2009, when the Sri Lankan team was lucky to escape alive after terrorists stormed their bus as it left the team hotel for a Test against Pakistan. A CA spokesman says it is too early to determine whether the deadly bomb blasts will see the second Test moved. "We're aware of the unfortunate incident in Hyderabad," he said. "The safety of the squad is of paramount importance and Australian team management and CA staff are liaising with the BCCI (Indian board), local authorities and Australian High Commission to ensure we have all the appropriate information. "To date, we have no information to suggest there is any threat to the team in Chennai as a result of this incident." Its very difficult to prevent a blast like that. Cricket teams are provided the best security possible. So Aussie team can feel very safe.

The two blasts, which killed at least 11 people, came on the eve of the first Test in Chennai and nine days out from the second Test in Hyderabad. Although it is too early to determine whether the second Test will be shifted to a different venue, some news reports on Indian television on Thursday night suggested the Australian team would not travel to Hyderabad after the bombings. However, a CA team spokesperson said those reports were not true and it was premature to discuss any such move. "We're aware of the unfortunate incident in Hyderabad," a Cricket Australia team spokesperson said. "The safety of the squad is of paramount importance and the Australian team management and CA staff are liaising with the BCCI, local authorities and Australian High Commission to ensure we have all the appropriate information. carnish Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I dont know why so many here think Vijay is finished. Like many Indian Domestic players he has had a decent carrer in Rnji Trophy. Yes he was out of form this season but he is a tested player and has done well in the past esp. in India. Lets give him a chance. Dhawan too deserves a chance right now. Rahane on the other hand has to prove his form as lately he has done a lot of sitting on the benches and when he played the ODIs he failed miserably even to read the line of deliveries.
