Swing_n_Speed Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Sounds like his selction was dodgy. Like some other selctions. We know this happens but still sad to read about it. Classic like all aspects in India, its who your family is and who you know. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/top-stories/Arjun-Tendulkars-selection-in-U-14-raises-questions-of-nepotism/articleshow/18002036.cms Damnnn... Looks like the 'VN Sule Huruji School' is the 'Rhiti Sports' of Mumbai U-14 cricket. At the end of the article Times had a list of Questionable selections.....just one word sums up those selections 'Disguisting'

It is not even shocking anymore.
Magneto Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Damnnn... Looks like the 'VN Sule Huruji School' is the 'Rhiti Sports' of Mumbai U-14 cricket. At the end of the article Times had a list of Questionable selections.....just one word sums up those selections 'Disguisting' Seems like half the kids have been selected on potential and not performances :winky: Kids scoring 30s and 40s in a couple of matches have been given preference over kids scoring 398* and double centuries.
King Tendulkar Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Ha' date=' on expected lines. It is not even shocking anymore.[/quote'] :hysterical:Yeah exactly totally expected. Just thought i would post it anyway, we all know it goes on though. This is no doubt mirrored throught india in other cricket associations
nsareen Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 http://m.timesofindia.com/PDATOI/articleshow/18010292.cms They are re assessing the team again after charges of nepotism.
Raghav_12 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 There have to be more evidences to convince that it is case of nepotism with respect to Sachin son's selection. May be the case of media making issue just to manufacture some news.
Magneto Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 There have to be more evidences to convince that it is case of nepotism with respect to Sachin son's selection. May be the case of media making issue just to manufacture some news. TOI had published a detailed list of performances of kids who were selected. At least 5 of them never scored a fifty, or took many wickets. On the other hands, there were kids who were sitting with scores like 398*, and a few of them had 200+ scores. Arjun's highest scores were 124 and 70. There were many kids with better performances than Arjun and those 4-5 kids.
CG Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Lol Ths is common practice. You need to know the coach or selectors.
saneindian Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Dropped from the side now Arjun Tendulkar dropped from MCA U-14 probables
G_B_ Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 He will be back. Its just the under 14s. Mumbai are 40 times ranji champions. The reason they win so much is cause they are ruthless in their selections. Last season even Zaheer was dropped. They would not win so many titles if there was nepotism.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 nobody questions Sonia Gandhi. why question Sachin
