Though they were whitewashed in Australia , but still in that test series there were few good performance ,also after the heavy defeat in first odi, they have played really well , till now , even in England they played really well, they may not be skillful like their Indian and Pakistani counterparts, but they seem to be more hardworking then both ,don't u guys think the are slowly but surely improving, thoughts.

In b4 the Lankan trolls take over this thread.
It's not like that saurav give credit where it's due, I mean we were suppose to roll Australia , and were destroyed by them, what we saw was a meek surrender, atleast they are giving them a fight.

Nobody thought this other than you. Australia are a very tough team to beat at home, especially for SC teams. India only won 5 test matches there in its entire history and we are supposed to "roll" them over ? Before the emergence of Dravid, Sachin, Laxman and Kumble whitewashes were the order of the day for India in Aus.

Neither did I expect the 4-0 though. Regarding ODIs, I had no hopes after the 4-0 rout.

By roll over I didnt mean a 4-0, a1-0 or a 2-1 would have been good for me,this Aussie side was beaten by newzealend and were bowled out to 40 odd by saffers, their batters were struggling for runs and bowlers were struggling with injuries,so a fully fit Indian side should have beaten them.:((

Kohli, Gambhir have very little experience there to make a difference. Bowlers were never going to make a dent on their own without a big total to defend. India at its best only won 1 test in Australia in a series. A team in decline was always going to struggle.

Actually, the only time India was whitewashed in Australia before the emergence of Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman, and Kumble was in '67-'68. Even in the '47-'48 tour they managed to draw a test. After their emergence we have been whitewashed twice.

No...SL is a good LOI side though but apart from 1-2 players max, they are not good enough in test cricket, neither with the bat nor with the ball.

The same is true for India as well. :giggle:

everybody can perform better than how India did 0-8 so...whats the big deal.
It's about commitment, hard work bro which was there till world cup , we can question their skills, some of them but not their commitment, which is not visible in this Indian team, whenever I think that this team cannot stoop more low , in comes the more pathetic performance with a even more pathetic approach.:((
