It doesnt matter to the person who dies as he is gone but the others left behind dont feel what you posted. Especially if someone has responsibilities and dependents then its different. I was once on a plane whose one engine caught fire and while everybody was **** scared, I was laughing and in fact looking forward to crashing down. The captain then announced that the plane has multiple engines and fire is under control but one of the engines is dead but we are 10 mins from the airport so we will be fine. I didnt feel anything cuz I was 22 and didnt have any dependents

I have seen a few deaths in my family. My father died right in front of me and this was when I was 17. He had just collapsed in the living room. I gave him CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation. Unfortunately, he had suffered a massive heart attack. I accompanied the body, for post mortem, in the government hospital. I wanted to enter the room and see the post mortem too, out of curiosity. I was reading medical anatomy books at that time. I think I was numb. I came home after the post mortem, and saw my mother sitting on the stairs. She was under the impression that my father had fainted and everything would be alright. When she saw the dead body, she broke down. I had never seen her cry before. No tears were coming out from my eyes yet. Went to the relatives to tell the news..everyone slowly started visiting the house. Several hours had passed. Then, one of my father's friend saw me and hugged me tightly. I broke down immediately. I needed that human touch to feel something had happened. My father's death affected a lot of things in my family. If he was alive today, things would be quite different for sure. Death happens everyday. It does not affect the person who has passed away. But the loss is felt by loved ones, family and friends. It does not take much to keep a man happy or content in life, but materialistic pursuit can take away the balance in life. We must pause and smell the roses, be loved and make others feel loved.

oh man, that was tough to read so I cant even imagine what you went through. What shook me yesterday was to realize how the "Balance" will go from people around the person who passes away. I have a cousin who lost his father and elder brother in a road accident on the way to shimla, his father died on the spot and the brother died after 2-3 painful weeks when he was awake and was bleeding internally. Since the cops took them to a sarkari hospital, they couldnt even move him to a better hospital. One day over drinks he told me what he had to go through and coming from a well connected family I didnt think he would have gone through the shyt he did in Govty hospital.. even for a death certificate to take his brother's body home. Very emotional moment when I heard this.. In one accident his life changed completely. Now he takes care of his mother who also sustained injuries in the accident. He moved from the UK and now doesnt work. Just sad to see how his life changed.

As I started my monday morning' date=' I got up 30 mins after the alarm rang. I was so tired and wanted to sleep more. While I was getting ready for work, I couldnt stop telling myself that my life sucks, I dont have enough money, [b']I am overweight and I dislike my job but I need to go to work. I finally left home at 9:15, still frustrated that I will be doing a job that I dislike and how it takes me 45 mins to get work and 2 hrs a day of total time in the car which is almost 10% of my day. Then I saw around 15 cop cars and the traffic was being directed on the other side of the road and as I passed by, I saw a big sheet of cloth covering someone who was obviously dead. There was a cycle lying next to him and I saw a Toyota with a dent and his driver holding his head as he spoke to the police. So how did that 1 second change one life (driver, victim's famiily and friends) and end one life. It shook me and made me realize how all of a sudden everything can change for anybody. What happens to the people left behind, what about his kids, partner .. the dreams that they all had and about their plans. I think selfishly I was sad as I was worried about my family in case I die tomorrow and if I die what about the people I leave behind. How the life will change for everybody. How many dreams will end ...
Perspective. It changes everything. We all have a choice - either be sad and miserable about what we don't have (and there is always something that we want but can't have' date= no matter how rich and powerful you are) or be happy and thankful for what we have, value it and hope for the best in future. We all have that tendency of getting used to what we have and thinking constantly about what we don't have.
...or do something about whatever bothers you, even if just delta changes. Why be upset about something you are not putting any effort towards changing it?

Thats pretty hardcore, balls-of-steel stuff. Its amazing how we get strength when put in a shockingly difficult situation - with no one around, but break down next moment when we see someone 'elder'/experienced, we feel secure with. I find that analogous to the situation- how, when a kid falls, s/he goes around with business - if you ignore him/her... but starts crying if s/he notices you watching him/her over.

Very inspirational and touching! Sorry for your loss, sabby. Really inspirational to read such stories of overcoming an emotional loss which cannot be replaced.

dude, the worst part is that you work for someone and constantly feel like you're being used. I spend a lot of time everyday, asking myself if my life had more meaning that to work for some random boss at a company. Hopefully, one day I shall get my sh1t together. I am just trying to find a meaning in my life. It sucks because I feel very nervous around everyone.

Try to do as many girls as you can. I am not kidding. When u r in that moment of death, you should not feel that emptiness. Its the worst feeling, u should feel happy that u lived a complete life, and it can be achieved only by doing as many girls as possible. Also taste red wine. Its healthy and washes away the feeling that u did not enjoy alcohol in ur life. We should try everything available in this life. I will tell u one incident, me and my granddad took our car to a car mechanic. He was a good friend of mine as I used to talk to him lot abt cars and engines. He was chewing " Hans"(Gutkha). I wanted to try it, I asked my granddad, can I try that once? He said, if you want to know how it tastes and if you promise me that you won't touch it again, u can definitely try it. I tried it in front of my granddad and he believed me that I would not touch it again. I never tried it again in my life after that. I just wanted to know how it tasted it. I would encourage u to try everything available in ur life and just don't get addicted by it. I have tried lot of things in my life and it would be inappropriate to mention it here. I am sorry if I have said anything wrong here, Its just my opinion.

(Never mind the fact that your original intent was not to garner any sympathy), I am truly sorry to read that you had to live thru that traumatic incident at such a young age. Your dad may not be with you today, but I am sure his imprint is still all over your life, even today. One thing I can say with a lot of confidence is that your dad can be pretty proud of the way his son conducts himself, even in the online world. :)

Ohhh. I am really sorry for what happened and I can honestly empathize how you felt when u were 17 years old. I would request you to take care of your health as this sort of heart diseases could be a genetic one. My dad is diabetic and I am trying to keep a healthy and happy lifestyle and I hope it does not affect me.
