Dumbbells Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 come on think about it if ishant would have jsut bowled as well as yadav who u said did bad dont u think we could have won first match ? or in perth put up a decent fight instead of losing inside 3 days ? yes whole bowling attack failed but honestly if u look at it biggest reason of failure was ishant..it was not that ishant failed cos of bad bowling line up it was tht ishant performed so badly that bowling attack performed averagely looked really bad when u average 100 in 4 tests u drag every one down .. Arey yaar, I agree he did not do well in Australia. I am keep saying he has potential because of what he did in Australia the first time he played there. Even in home conditions he simply fantastic against the aussies and won the man of the series. He s just coming back from an injury and a surgery, he should get all the support he deserves.

Number Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Sabby, you are being unfair to him on his Rajkot's performance. Yes, other bowlers went for 60-70 and he went for 82 but he bowled in first powerplay, 2nd powerplay and then deep end of death overs. Was literally thrown under the bus by Dhoni but someone needed to do that job.
singhprakash72 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Ishant Sharma is perfect example of endemic plaguing the Indian phaast bowlers. He started with upright seam, great movement both ways, 140KPH speed but as days go by he is more and more predictable as well as pathetic. All he can come up is one yorker in whole innings or best a couple of lifters ....one standard ball short and wide of off stump is all he comes up 90% of time......Seriously both SHARMAS must have done something special to get this special treatment !
asterix Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Bowled some good Yorkers yesterday. Why doesn't he bowls like that regularly?
SLICKR392 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Bowled some good Yorkers yesterday. Why doesn't he bowls like that regularly? He does, he is unlucky.
