Rahane was looking solid and it was disappointing to see such shabby umpiring in a top tournament. The standard of Indian umpires is pathetic. Rohit's dismissal was worrying because it came in frustration after a spell of good, tight bowling and hardly 10 minutes before lunch. These kind of passages are common in test cricket when the runs will dry up. Superb innings by Tendulkar. Good to see him racking up some runs. Don't think the pitch is as bad as some are making it out to be. The bowling from both sides has been very very ordinary. This was probably a 350-400 kind of first innings pitch for both sides with decent bowling.

These are matches at the highest domestic level and come closest to international games, and he should have taken the opportunity. Tendu played Bhajji and Ojha with ease and I think he will play Lyon and co easily. Australia beware of forthcoming tons from the masters blade.

Don't think it's the question of it being one dismissal, but the manner of the dismissal. That was one of the few passages of play I saw over the last 3 days in which the bowlers exerted control and pressure drying up the runs. To play a frustrated hoick without even getting off the mark in such a scenario was disappointing. He is still better than Jadeja.

bhai i always said exact same thing bowl tightly to him and he gets stuck and then slogs people said there will be no run rate pressure in tests etc etc...we had big arguments sadly im being proved right and i dont want to :(( and yes he is better then jadeja :p

Dont think wickets will be as flat as this one for tests against Aus. They will turn a lot more. About Rohit, it may seem he just gave his wicket away and has temperament issues but he has been scoring consistently in Ranji. I dont think he would made all those runs if he didnt have patience. You cant judge based on one bad shot.
