Sachinism Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I've done it a few times, not to much effect. Social media is very handy. Once I saw these trainers (sneakers) I wanted, I only had a pic of them, so I messaged Adidas about them. They found me a store which stocks them.

They charge 150% more than other brands for so called premium quality and give you underpowered engine and pathetic after sales service. This will be last time I will pay for a brand, next time I will do my research much better and focus on product model itself than brand alone. I wasted money on a European brand. I graduated from Indian brands like Maruti (Zen), Tata (Indigo), Mahindra (Scorpio) and found ownership experience much better with these brands. There are many other who are not happy with VW, Skoda, Audi attitude eg.

I hardly have a high 'Klout' but I've used it to good effect. In real life too, if you can play yor hand "smart" you'd win more often than not.

Desi Cartman Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Within 24 hrs I have managed to get the company to call me several times, I have been apologized to few times, have been offered compensation and few mins ago the delivery has been planned for tomorrow. 24 hrs mein sab kaam ho gaya :) I also pointed them to the store where a staff member misbehaved with me, I asked them to check his yelp reviews as well :)) , they have promised an inquiry and probably some action. Mission accomplished without me having to call anybody :girly1:

vandokkum Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I once complained about the customer service for my Cable/ Internet company and they gave me 30 percent lower rate for 2 years. It works better when there is tough competition in the industry, If you complain to a Walmarts franchise about a bad service/ product , they will usually just laugh it off. You can't get there stuff anywhere else if you live in small towns.

The guy who confirmed with me that he had stock and then loaded half of it with 20% of it being damaged and told me that I'm being difficult because I am not taking his damaged stock. The guy who told me that I didnt waste 2.5 hrs but only 1.5 lol I dont know what they will do to him but I hope he at least learns to respect others.

The sandwich that has been advertised as 12" is 1" short and not a foot long. I borrowed a measuring tape from the janitor in the hospital and measured the bread in my lunch time. 11 inches. At first I thought it would be an anomaly but then I purchased same footlong from the same store at random days and random time. I even paused for a month thinking the bread supplier probably had a incorrectly measured batch. Went back and the sandwich was still 1" short. Gathered my report and sent it to the local news station. They will do a 6pm investigative report on that store and Subway on Thurs. I bet the owner is desi.
