But that would be if he becomes good. 2025: Ishant 120 tests, 200 test wickets at 60.0. (60 is average not S/R!):hysterical:

Why he is being selected after consistently failing for the last 4 years is beyond me. He can't even bowl with a proper seam position even after playing 45 odd tests. He was one of the major reasons behind our whitewash in Australia, where the other bowlers did relatively well. He needs to play a lot of FC cricket and learn to pick wickets and stop whining about being fecking unlucky. For now, bowlers like Umesh, Shami, Pankaj, Bhuvanesh, Aaron are way ahead of him and need to be given chances instead of persisting with a proven failure of a bowler.

Last time would be in 2011 on that West Indies tour I guess .. Not sure though

Forget winning spell, he has picked 2-3 wickets only 5 times in last 22 innings. Even a part timer would fluke more wickets.

What's the point of keeping him in the side. We can have a batsman who can bowl some part-time. Won't do worse job than what Ishant is already doing. As long as Dhoni is captain :(( And as long as selectors keep remembering that one and only good spell he bowled in his entire international career (the spell to Ricky Ponting) and hoping one day he will bowl that way again.

Even in that spell he was unlucky and beat the edge most of the times. At the *** end of the spell he found the edge else it would have been business as usual for him.
