Dumbbells
Dont u Dhoni bashers say Dhoni won so many tests because he got a gifted team, how about that gifted team during 8-0.. Don't they share any responsibility for debacle? We only had 1 centurion in each tour and no bowlers to show for. Any other captain would've done any better? He should share the responsibility for the loses when he selects a bowler like vinay kumar on Perth track. He deserves all the criticism he gets. He hasn't hit a match saving or match winning innings in these 10 tests India have lost. After 20+ innings he has hit a double century that too on a dusty pitch where the ball did not raise above his knees. He is a phenomenal ODI cricketer. But he is not good enough for test matches. End of the story. Link to comment

Dumbbells
Yep its wicket keepers job to play match winning innings coming in at no:7 that too overseas  If he is a just wicket keeper and a good batsman, he is not fit for captaincy. Link to comment
Pagalpanti
If he is a just wicket keeper and a good batsman' date=' he is not fit for captaincy.[/quote'] Yes he doesn't average 50+ in tests and scored more than 1 double century. Wait, what? Ganguly averaged 40+ and 1 double century, so much for being a better batsman :giggle: Some people make it sound like Ganguly was Clive Lloyd Link to comment
Dumbbells
Ha ha. Dhobi averages 38.06 after 73 tests. Nobody is complaining abt his ODI records. Moronic fans are just very irritating. Link to comment

adi B
congrats msd.it does not matter if he wins more/less tests than ganguly.1st and foremost dhoni should look to win each of the tests vs aus to gain more confidence and build a proper team for away tour more than his own preferential selection..the whitewashes wont be forgotten ever Link to comment
G_B_
maybe its the coach that needs changing.... maybe with a new coach even dhoni will start to do better. Link to comment
adi B
quality of sides nowadays is pretty poor..our current side is prtty poor but still ranked 4th.wi,nz have regresses massively since early 2000 same with pak,sl Link to comment
adi B
Ganguly was not a great batsman' date=' but comparing his batting with Dhoni has surely got to be a joke. If it was all about averages we would quietly anoint Samaraweera and Jayawardene as equivalents of Gavaskar and Richards and be done.[/quote'] +1..even avg wise ganguly averaged 42.5,dhoni avg 38.2 after the 224.. just by the looks of batting one can classify who was the better batsman with a superior technque..dhoni has to solidify his defense which i think he has done in the l;ast 2 tests, leave the outswinging balls Link to comment
